actually worse, the vacuum reduces the way heat can transfer, radiation is all that can pass so computer overheats, usually convection transfers heat away but without air.. nope

    And a test on air

Now I just need to plan the loop get fittings and tube for this!

All EK, 2 x Vector GPU blocks, Supremacy CPU block, XRES 140 D5 pump res combo, SE 360mm rad, PE 360mm rad and 6x Vardar rgb fans, going to try and use PETG hardline tube, iv not done a custom loop since we were messing about with aquarium pumps and AMD XP1700's

Oh and yes some cablemod or similar cables because its a joke in there at the moment!

    Finally putting it all together

the eATX board covers quite a lot of the access for cables to pass behind the tray

Its a shame as it means the power cabling will be on show.
In the end the cooler could only fit in one place:

Got everything cabled up as neatly as possible

    And finally:

Can probably see only 1 of the 3 SATA SSDs is mounted, I need to work out a way to get them in and neatly. Going forward I think I'll be getting custom cables from cablemod and possibly replacing the case fans with RGB items, I may even add an LED strip.

Not sure what colour scheme to go with, any suggestions? Tempted to go with an orange against the black/gunmetal.

Phase 2 - Possibly later in the year I want to add a 2nd GPU and do a custom loop possibly hardline with CPU and GPU blocks.

Much like triggers broom there isn't much of the original build left!

Replaced the board, CPU, boot drive, CPU water block and now the case to.

Currently partially built and testing it looks like this:

Iv ordered custom sleeved cables from cable mod but there is a shut down so will take some time to arrive, I had to cut the sleeveing and move the capacitors on the 24pin to get it past the side rad. My plan was to run the GPU and CPU blocks on soft tube temporarily but the link between them kinked, fortunately I had a piece of PETG bent for the previous install that I could cut down to go in there.

Currently its a Lian Li O11 Dynamic XL case, ROG Zenith II Extreme board, AMD 3960X, 128GB corsair vengeance ram, variety of M.2 SSDs (boot drive on a PCI gen 4), EVG 2080TI black edition with an EK Vector block, EK velocity CPU block, EK X-RES, 2x 360mm EK rads (one PE one SE) with 6 EK Vardar fans all powered by the EVGA 1200 P2 PSU.

Currently only half of the fans are connected and only the CPU RGB is hooked up, need to sort the cabling out as its a mess in the back.

    Things left to do:
Install and connect the fan controller to get all the fans running
Buy and install an exhaust fan for the back
Install the block on the remaining 2080TI
Install the 2nd GPU and modify the nvlink bridge to fit
Replace the cables when the new custom ones arrive
Swap out the res, I want a taller one with RGB
    Complete the loop in PETG

So far its looking good to me at least, got just over 14000 points in cinebench R20 for the first time, CPU running mid 60s and using the motherboards performance enhancer rather than a manual overclock. GPU is boosting to 1935MHz and hitting the 112% power limit, have read you can flash another manufacturers firmware on to increase that limit but I'm not sure I want to risk it. Scored 13611 in time spy.

Couple of pics of my workstation.

I have added some coolermaster 140mm RGB fans front a rear, set the RGB to orange breathing and have a rainfall effect on the RAM.

The screen is a Dell U3415W 34" 3440 x 1440 60 Hz, I think it will probably suck at gaming but I'm not about to replace it given the cost.
I have an ancient Logitech wireless keyboard and Darkfield mouse, I really want to replace these (the keyboard for sure as the backlight has died) any recommendations?

Pulled the cooler off this morning:

Didn't reach all the corners with my initial application and it looks like it may have even been a bit too much oddly, opinions?

I also noticed that cooling plate isn't polished its more of a brushed finish, I thought these generally worked better when polished?

The board is too close to the case for a plug even if connected before installation but thanks for the suggestion.

After the first boot with just the single pair of DIMMs in I loaded the memory settings with DOCP and it wouldn't boot, tried again but with the DDR speed lowered to 3400MHz and it booted, once I had installed the rest of the RAM (128Gb total) I couldn't get it to boot above 3000MHz, I have read that that higher speeds can be a problem on 128Gb.

    RGB!!

I need to get an OS installed so I can see how everything is running, CPU temp in BIOS is 35-45C.
