Hey look buddy, I'm an engineer. That means I solve problems, not problems like "What is beauty?" Because that would fall within the purview of your conundrums of philosophy. I solve practical problems

  1. For context and what makes this a bit unique: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=APb_DGj0PFI
  2. They ship it too so I doubt it would even be fulfilled (shipped). They’d probably pocket the money and Amazon would refund you. The only real looser here is Amazon I think, and any store silly enough to honor a price match.
  3. I’d be shocked if they honored this. It’s well outside of any normal sale.
  4. They have some feedback: a single 1-star rating, so definitely a scam
  5. One of the best single player campaigns I've ever played. Definitely recommended to anyone who's never played it.
  6. I don’t follow. Could you expand on this? Are you referring to harmonics?
  7. “Sorry, the file you have requested does not exist.“ edit: not sure what happened the first three times I clicked it but it works now. Clickable link: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1fSjL0X1CjoUBtbaWcBam9TuczQYK2VzOOTfrgydfADM/edit?usp=sharing
  8. Looks like a decent deal on some tasteful (IMHO) RAM! If I were in the market for more I’d consider jumping on it and then see if a better deal comes on Black Friday. As for your software concerns, I have come to detest all the manufacturers RGB software. I’ve really liked OpenRGB. It doesn’t support everything but it supports quite a lot, it’s open source, and is regularly updated. It’s also not garbage borderline malware. I highly recommend checking it out. Not affiliated at all, I just really like it.
  9. with those $50 options you’re comparing apples and oranges in terms of stability and quality. The ergotrons are frankly tanks in terms of build quality and keeping your monitor stable.
  10. Solid arm. I’ve had it for about a year on my 34” Ultrawide. Definitely worth it at $65; I think I paid near $90 for it. Tempted to pick up another…
  11. Yes!!! Automatically rule out some items as just plain bad (at any price) but I’d also love a price to performance rating of sorts. For example, a decent performing case goes on sale is definitely worth it more than what a one time review would reflect. Same for pretty much any component; a 5800X is not very compelling at $450 but $330 (as I’ve seen it recently) is much more compelling.
  12. How difficult is it to relocate from the US to BC and get approval to work? Is remote work from the US an option for any of the positions? Would you need approval in that case? It looks like some are BC only but others don’t specify a location. Edit: they now have BC listed on all the positions (I think it was missing from the floatplane ones initially) I think I’d be a pretty good fit for the engineering positions. I’ve got a bachelors and masters in Electrical and Computer engineering, focused primarily on C/C++ and more recently Python. I’ve also done PCB design, manufacturing, assembly (soldering) and associated software. I’m basically a tinkerer. I’ve also been building computers since I was about 10.
  13. The first two were quite good. In the first one, some kinks needed to be worked out in the verification system but I thought it was fantastic. I think the 3rd one was also decent; I kinda stopped following after that....
  14. Bots will often snatch up codes when posted directly. Asking for DM's largely wards that off.
  15. I’d probably hide the code and PM it to someone who gives you the best reply in this thread or something, otherwise bots will probably grab it
