  1. I may just sell the other card, nvme ain't gonna work?
  2. Video editing pc, can you provide me some resource links. Any you can think of.... Thanks
  3. I bought a cheap unbranded x79 board off eBay for under $80 but now I'm wishing I didn't and I need help if my issue can even be helped... Lol I will put links to my board, ram, and the Xeon processor I bought. I also have 2 570s I would like to put in crossfire. Here are my questions. Sorry for my stupidity in advance. 1. Where can I find drivers if I open the box and there's not a disc? 2. Can I use Intel Optane with the board, how do I find that out? 3. Is my ram I bought going to work? Links below... https://www.ebay.com/itm/X79-Intel-B75-Chipset-Support-M-2-USB-3-0-SATA-3-0-Socket-Desktop-PC-Motherboard-/113895467705?txnId=2003956335001 https://www.ebay.com/itm/Intel-Xeon-E5-2660-2-2GHz-Eight-Core-Processor-40-SR0KK-41-/143396974902?txnId=1701972155004#vi__app-cvip-panel https://www.ebay.com/itm/4GB-8GB-16GB-32GB-DDR3-1866MHZ-PC3-14900R-1RX4-REGISTERED-ECC-REG-Server-Ram-LOT-/183900961393?txnId=2023245048008 https://www.ebay.com/itm/Intel-Optane-Memory-M10-SSD-M-2-2280-16GB-PCIe-3-0-3D-Xpoint-NVMe-MEMPEK1J016GAH-/323927375437?txnId=2110330251011
  4. My board has 4 sata ports on it and I think I broke one. I ripped the cable out not knowing it had a tab to push in. I'm completely new to building computers and feel stupid I did it. My question is can I still use the other 3 or do they need to go in order for my computer to recognize I have something plugged into them?
  5. I'm looking for a left handed joystick that I can customize for one handed gameplay. Front, back, rotating, trigger, etc... Has to be able to control with one hand. I can not use the mouse and keyboard in gameplay.
  6. Question... Can I set up steam with 3 hard drives like I do my Adobe CC? My rig for Adobe has 4 drives in it, 2 raided together for my boot drive and software, 1 m.2 as a cache drive, and 1 for current project files, and then another 2 external HHD I keep my mass storage on. I am building my first gaming pc for my kids and I was wondering if I could set up steam the same way. I have a 128gb m.2 I'm going to use as a boot drive and download steam too. I wanna get another m.2 or ssd as my cache if I can (how big do I need it if I'm using it as a cache?) and 1 add or even hhd as my storage where I put all there games they play often. And does that drive need to be an ssd or can it be a sshd or even hhd?
  7. Thank you I'll check it out. More storage is a good thing lol. My kids want to do youtube too so that's the reason for a extra ram. I figured if I gave it a little extra memory they would be able to edit on a basic editing program. I have a Acer Predator 17" laptop I use for editing. 64gb ram, 1070ti, i7, 1tb m.2 raided together as a boot drive with my adobe suite on it and a 500gb ssd for storage, and an external m.2 I use for my cache...
  8. Really where, I've seen used 128gb for as low as $20.
  9. Thanks here's my build list if anyone wants to check it out. And I'll include what I've already got and what I paid for it. Fractal Designs Core 1000 mATX case (bought used for $24.99 on eBay) 500w EVGA 80 plus psu (bought like new for $28.50) G.Skill Ripjawz DDR4 16gb 2400 Ram 4×4GB ($112 used on eBay) M.2 used 120-128gb boot drive (not bought yet but I'm looking at spending $30-$35 based on eBay pricing, just a budget gaming pc so cheap enough to get another one if it fails would never use a used hard drive for a professional setting) SSHD used 500gb (not bought but looking at spending about $35 on it for all there games. Maybe an SSD for cache if needed) Ryzen 5 2400g New (haven't bought yet) Gigabyte B450M motherboard Plus 2 fans and any other accessories I might need. Upgrades: Another GPU down the road Added storage CPU cooler if I want to take on overclocking.
  10. Thank you, see that's the info I needed. My question now is if I get a 4gb gpu will it be any advantage using it with the 2400g or should I just save for like a 1070ti and call it good? (If sli isn't supported in that board and crossfire won't give me any real advantage)
  11. I was thinking of using the 2400g for now and then upgrading it down the road. I've seen other say it will enhance the performance.
  12. The gpu, the board supports 2 graphic cards so I was thinking I would get the 2400g for now and get a cheaper amd card later down the road then when I upgrade the psu I can get a 2nd graphics card. If I get 2 4gb cards I can use crossfire to make them work as a 8gb right?
  13. Looking to maybe upgrade down the road.
  14. Minecraft right now but I would like to find them some other titles to play like Wow that are not violent.
