Updated my gpu to the asrock challenger 7800xt from a 1060 6gb...1440p ultra is great now...luckily i went with reference size, bigger wouldnt fit with my rad there..eventually i need to update my case fans...leds are kinda dying on them

Actually I don't really care who the writer is, nor I do want to know.
 
I don't really care about the ethicality of the book writing process.
Even if the writer forces his wife to type the book for him and then beat her every time she makes a mistake, I still don't care.
I'm just reading a book, I'm not a policeman or a judge working in the area where the writer lives.

Doesn't make any sense. It's some kind of perverted moralistic voyeurism that seems to be oddly common in anglo-saxon society.

What has definitely changed for me is the opinion I had about the LTT community. I didn't realize before how toxic and humorless many are.

If you can get a 6950 XT at the same price I would do that, but I haven't seen a (new) 6950 XT for lower than about $600 yet (and it's always the XFX one... not that the XFX one is bad, just weird how none of the others have come down as much).
 
I would get the 7800 XT over a 6800 XT if they're about the same price because the 7800 XT is about even with it or a little better now and has potential to improve with driver updates, whereas the 6800 XT is probably about as good as it will get.

I've bought more games on my Switch due to the portability factor. I just want more of that.

This is the key. I don't think I've had to deal with a GPU company directly.. ever, actually. First GPU I bought was a Voodoo3 2000.

I get why people were disappointed in Polaris, Vega, hell even RNDA1. Nothing AMD had could really even touch close to what Nvidia had performance-wise in the top tier.
 
But RDNA 2? The 6000-series cards at the high end have been more than competitive, except for a novelty with Ray Tracing, and even has a platform-agnostic alternative to DLSS. The 6000-series are basically the ONLY affordable and available mid-range. This gen was a great gen for AMD.

Healthy competition makes for a healthy market; It breeds innovation, keeps prices in check, provides more variety in the market, and in general, is a really good thing.
 
I don't care if someone only buys NVidia or AMD, it's the best recipe for everyone to be happy.

I would say, check your contact details and/or contact DHL about it. Once your order has been handed to shipping company, status for the store changes from "processing" to "shipping". At that point, store has very little power over what's happening until its either collected by you or sent back.
 
I would also make new request and title it for failure on delivery. This, from top, looks like some mistake in contact details as DHL is supposed to contact you if they fail with first delivery attempt. Or depending on service, contact you before delivery will be made.

When I clicked on the thread it took me right to the front instead of the most recent, but I read some of the initial discussion. I would tend to agree with you and others on the use case. These devices are trying to bridge the gap between cell and laptop, and I personally don't feel the need to bridge that gap. However for some people, their daily life of long commutes on a bus or train or other factors make that gap much wider for them. So I don't agree that it is over hyped. I think you and several others including myself simply aren't the target market. I think for what it is and what it does and what it offers, it's pretty neat. I just don't want or need any of what it has to offer. 

I never understand why people think everyone is like them. 
 
It’s a device that’s basically just as convenient as a Switch. I never use my switch when traveling - I do use it when at home, on my couch or bed, when my wife or kids are using the tv or just because. 
 
if the Deck finds even a fráction of the audience the Switch has, it’s a succes.

try and do that with a desktop or even a laptop you cant
as for going out
If im going to stay somewhere i genrally take my lappy and its a bit slow and rubbish so playing games is hard
this will be much better

My thought is
If you don't want the steam deck stay quiet its clearly not for you
Don't go bashing down the device because it doesn't meet your needs
apparently now Over-hyped= I don't want/Don't need

He had a point. The US hasn't had Renault branded cars in decades, regardless of what the parent company is. 

A couple of additional suggestions. Find a Wii U, for all the failings of the Wii U it is still also a Wii with a HDMI port. Plus you get the added bonus of having the ability to stream your Wii games to a portable screen. The Wii U GamePad may only be 480p but Wii games were 480p anyways so it's not much of an issue
 
Second suggestion, emulation. If you have a Wii and games it's easy enough to dump your discs. These days Wii emulation is good enough, there are some titles that have some funky stuff going on and scaling in some titles does odd things. Also you'll want to figure out a way to get a sensor bar (the Wii is a bit of an old device now, not as easy to find a USB or battery powered sensor bar as it once was). But once you get it going? It's pretty solid. You can get Mario Kart Wii running at 4K/60fps on just about anything
