Liquid passes through the center channels, not the fins. the fins are just there to give more surface area for dissipating heat. The tiny bend in the corner of the rad is of no consequence and wouldn't make an impact on temperatures.

You don't need front mesh on a case to perform the best. The O11D competes alongside some of the better airflow cases even though the intake is primarily the bottom or side.

I've used the case in Rainbow 🦆 2020 Build log in my signature; both an R9 3900x and an RX5700XT stay under 80ºC under load without full fan RPM. 

Nearly all mesh fronted cases are made of plastic to some extent????
It's been tested and performs as well as other airflow variants of cases that are typically recommended for high airflow on budget situations. Perhaps it's time to update your info

Speaking of vehicles (wow shocker) My girlfriend is shoopping for a truck/SUV under $3k localy, and we're finding a shocking number of  lifted Jeep Cherokee's, Grand's and wranglers. I know Wranglers just usually have issues in general (rust, engine, etc) but are the Cherokee's the same?

I mean I'm considering it as a second vehicle (Not yet, waiting for the first year or two to pass to know if/how bad the problems with a new vehicle are)

If you're referring to the case you posted, it's okay. Mostly build quality is the most lackluster item compared to the competition.
