  1. None of the other cases you mentioned are anywhere near the same league as the EVOLV.
  2. Microsoft Office hasn't been improved since 2003. It just gets more and more bloated. I sleep well at night knowing I use LibreOffice and I'm not feeding the Microsoft corporate machine.
  3. I've wanted a Xiaomi phone for a long time, if only as a statement to say that yes, the Chinese are more than capable of making quality products. I hope they begin to roll out some phones to the North American market soon, though I suspect they might not use the full "Xiaomi" name because the perception over here is that all Chinese products are trash.
  4. The G2 is a significantly superior unit.
  5. Just did a build in the EVOLV ITX. It was a breeze to work with after having struggled with the BitFenix Prodigy and Lian-Li PC-TU200B plus the finished build looked so much cleaner.
  6. Getting tired of all the triple-fan coolers. I wish more companies would copy MSI and just put a couple of 100mm fans on their cards. EVGA is halfway there with their ACX cooler, but they have a large dead zone between their fans.
  7. If you don't like the Noctuas, Gentle Typhoons, or EK Vardars, maybe consider Noiseblocker eLoops, Akasa Apaches, Rosewill Hyperboreas, or Cougar Vortexes. Most Phanteks fans are quite well optimized for static pressure as well.
  8. I like to think that members of this forum try to be more educated consumers, meaning the overwhelming majority of us wouldn't be caught dead owning a pair of Beats.
  9. The answer is always the same: Get the more powerful single card.
  10. I can HIGHLY recommend the FiiO X5 (2nd Generation) for $350 or, if you don't need as much storage potential (i.e., over 128GB), just get the cheaper FiiO X3 (2nd Generation) for $200.
  11. Gentle Typhoons came first. EK Vardars were only just announced back in November. They also perform significantly worse than Gentle Typhoons.
  12. Don't you mean the EK Vardars resemble the Gentle Typhoons?
  13. The Zotac AMP! Extreme is, according to Guru3D, two DBa louder than the Gigabyte G1 Gaming, which was already a noisy card compared to the MSI and EVGA.
  14. Undervolting is always the key to passive cooling. I've shaven 26C off one of my CPUs with a good undervolt, but let me stress: Contrary to common belief, undervolting does not necessarily entail underclocking! For the record, I'm running a passively cooled i7-5930K at stock clock and 0.925V.
  15. I think the Gigabyte G1 Gaming and the Zotac AMP! Extreme take the crown. The G1 might be a bit better for SLI configurations though because the AMP! Extreme is a 2.5-slot card, which will further restrict airflow to the top card. I was also pleased to see MSI stick a backplate on the Gaming 6G.
  16. While I agree with you on most of this, number seven took me by surprise. EVGA's PSUs are among the best that money can buy and they are priced right, too.
  17. Is this an LG, AU Optronics, or Samsung panel? If it's an LG panel, I hardly see any reason LG needs to "look out."
