  1. @JurrunioAfterburner changes the curve up or down by a step when I hit apply. Any way to stop this? Does it even matter?
  2. The issue stopped on its own, but now when I put it in sleep mode afterburner resets to default. Is this normal?
  3. The HP Omen 15 seems pretty decent. Opinions @GeneXiS_X ?
  4. Games work fine, this is the only side effect I've experienced. I'll try upping the voltage.
  5. In my opinion, it is worth waiting to get the XPS 15, I'd recommend 8th gen i7, 16Gb of RAM, 1050ti. It would last a lot longer, and be a lot faster, and is overall better. I use an acer predator helios 300, it has all above specs, except for a 1060 instead of a 1050ti, and it cost 1000 USD. The main drawbacks to it are short battery life and meh cooling. I'd recommend the helios, but I think in your use case the XPS might be better.
  6. I used MSI Afterburner to undervolt my GPU (Laptop 1060). This my stock and undervolted curve. When this profile is applied sleep mode doesn't work right. The fans stay on and I'm not prompted to log back in when I open the lid, just sent back to the desktop. Is this a sign that my undervolt is unstable? I followed this guide to undervolt my GPU.
  7. It's the curve. I saved stock settings in a different profile so I can switch fast, and when that profile is enabled sleep works fine. Does this mean my UV is unstable or does sleep mode just not work right if power settings are changed like this? Just to clarify my issue, whenever I close the lid, my laptop goes into sleep mode. Fans turn off, and when I open it I'm prompted to log on. When my AB profile is applied and I close the lid the fans stay on, and when I open it goes straight to the desktop. I've ensured that closing the lid should put it in sleep mode.
  8. That the plan. I actually have a newer one with an 8750H. The processor is typically hotter than the GPU, so undervolting it will bring the overall heat down. I got lucky in the silicon lottery I guess. Weird issue: when a profile is applied my laptop doesn't go to sleep properly. Anything I can do about that?
  9. Oh, lol. This is my stock curve and undervolted curve. Still probably going to undervolt a bit more, but does this look good?
  10. Sometimes it's in the 1,900s, but I'm looking to lower the voltage, not push a higher MHz.
  11. It stays in the range of 1,800 - 1,860MHz while gaming
