  1. Did this get solved? If not My setup: 5900x x570-I 2x 980 PRO Then I at least got windows installed on a raid0 of 2 x 980 PROs I used the drivers from the support disc included with the board. Installed the drivers one by one, in the order (rcbottom, rcraid, rccfg) and it worked. Hopefully this'll help others. Found the information from: https://dlsvr04.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/SocketAM4/ROG_STRIX-X470-F-GAMING/E13828_RAID_Configuration_Guide_EM_WEB.pdf
  2. Personally don't have much experience with air coolers, so can't really say how close you are to the expected temps. the mSATA's temps are probably expected to be that, considering it's like right out against both the GPU and the CPU. When it comes to the GPU, there should be a dual bios thing on it. Perhaps try switching? if you want to try. also the windows sleep problem.. I guess it's a problem between Windows, mSATA and your board. I would think it happens because your board perhaps aren't "loading" your mSATA early enough when waking up. Probably only something that can be fixed with a BIOS update. Can however not find any information about this on google.
  3. Damn.. This should have several additional things that you can try to fix your problem, hope it'll help. http://www.solvusoft.com/en/files/bsod-blue-screen-error/sys/windows/advanced-mirco-devices-inc/ati-radeon-family/atikmdag-sys/
  4. 1. Do you want it to turbo boost constantly or is it something it's just doing? 2. So your graphics card isn't throttling when you're just doing a simple default speed "OC", like you preset it. and tell it to run that speed constantly? but it can't boost to it? for at least on this image. Everything looks normal, what I was thinking about fan speed and temps was that it throtted without increasing fan speed? any way to preset wanted temps? 3. Computer doesn't like sleep, at least usually its more problematic than just having it turned off especially when you've got a SSD so load times should be fairly low. Unless you actually mean you're turning it off and on next boot it can't find your SSD? if it's the BIOS or perhaps there could be something wrong with the SSD, haven't read up on your SSD if it's normal that it gets that hot. At least my vertex 4 feels like.. mm.. slightly hotter than room temp. Something like 23-25c. Also wondering, are you using your boards "M.2 to SATA Express"?, if so try a normal 6Gps port. 4. When it comes to overclocking the CPU I guess it should be possible, guess searching for some guide to overclocking on MSI boards. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dRB22cx3EWo perhaps this'll help.
  5. mm.. 1. The temperature on the Individual cores will always be different at least on my 3770k, there is as big a different on the cores if not more. 2. Prime95 is a beast of a CPU abuser, tbh.. I normally would suggest try another cooler but I guess you've only got a stock cooler. Even though intel chips are suppose to turn off when they get really hot I would rather not risk your chip. So rather try with adding an additional fan to your cooler. Perhaps clean, reapply and install the cooler again, if your up for it. Might not be 100% surface contact between cooler block and cpu. 3. The graphics card shouldn't be throttling down at those temperatures, as it's made to run at like 85-100. And your fan speed isn't even at 50%.. 4. I don't think it's your SSD thats getting hot, I would rather think it's your mechanical drive. 5. The BIOS thing, sadly no idea about MSI boards. Though I know one that has a MSI board and the menu is a bloody pain, at least without the proper usage time on it. dunno if this help a tutorial video on MSI BIOS 4, which should be z97 boards. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8EspRuY-pUc 6. the disappearing SSD problem.. yeah.. after you've fixed everything else try BIOS reset (found in the manuel) or update your BIOS. anyways hope this'll help and good luck and have fun troubleshooting! =>
  6. 1. As said it might be air bubbles. 2. As said reapply paste and the cooling block. 3. Voltages and CPU speed. 4. Any other performence eating applications running?. 5. Perhaps something else appears when you've done these. Anyways, good luck and have fun troubleshooting! =>
  7. Guess the reason people haven't responsed really quickly to your problem is because.. it can literally be nearly anything that can cause these issues. suppose you've built the computer yourself?, you haven't got any BSODs? suppose you've installed all the latest drivers for your devices? If you haven't install drivers for your motherboard from asus website, at least I've noticed problems installing intels network drivers instead of using those asus had on the website for my motherboard. Hope it'll help, though I think there is probably more to fix. Anyways reponse back if it didn't help.
  8. Mr_Grimms is probably spot on, it truly sounds like a hard drive thats closing in on it's end. If you get your computer up and running and using / loading windows is really slow you should considering replacing the hard drive.
  9. 1. Try other USB ports behind and front. 2. Try with other USB devices (power consuming ones if possible). 3. Since it happended after you're new GPU. We need to know your specs to be sure if its your psu thats not powerful enough. - (Sorry didn't pay attention to the bottom of your post. Smartphone foruming.. not optimal.) 4. You've not listed everything thats connected to your computer, though I would presume you haven't gone over the 700w limit. Currently I would presume your using closely to 370-390w's.
  10. Well, damn.. Guess the only thing left now is to hope it was the board and not the CPU thats faulty. Would think it would be unlikely thats it's the CPU but yeah still possible. anyways good luck and hope everything goes well and that you suddenly will strike some gold and have enough money for the GPU upgrade as well.
  11. Sorry to hear it didn't help, guess you've already tried re-seating your memory and cpu according to what you've written at least. guess as a last thing you could do is try a bios update, with asus boards you can upgrade bios without powering it on. for my board it's called "USB BIOS Flashback" where you've got a usb port specifically coloured for this. Your board should have it as well. At least according to the information on asus' website. Less likely to work, but I guess there is a chance. Hope it wasn't way to expensive, and if what I suggest still didn't help. Well, then I hope your new board will bring you less issueness.
  12. dunno if this'll help, give it a read to see if you think that it could fix your problem. http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id-2046508/bluescreen-caused-atikmdag-sys-windows-amd-radeon-7700.html
  13. 1. BIOS reset if not tried. 2. Remove powercord and motherboard battery and "try" power on your computer and then resocket the battery and powercord and power on your computer again to see if that helped. 3. 1155 Motherboards should be fairly cheap by now, if you don't want to wait for repair if previous suggestions either have already been tried or didn't help. In anyways, good luck and I hope this'll help.
