  1. I have three monitors connected to my Rtx 2080Ti two are through Hdmi ports and the other is through a display port. I have been having an issue with them ever since i upgraded my main monitor to a newer 144hz panel, whenever my computer goes into sleep mode when i have a game running in fullscreen or just some applications in general all these processes and windows will migrate to my left most monitor. It really isnt a big issue for regular windows such as google chrome or file explorer but when i have a fullscreen game application the only way i can get the application back to my main monitor is by unplugging the HDMI in the back until the process switches to my main monitor again. I cannot manually just move the game to my main monitor again because it disrupts the resolution and that requires a full restart of the game to fix. Any suggestions would be helpful.
  2. @mxk. @Constantin Well there is another update after full wiping my pc and gradually installing all my programs again i have ran into the problem of the screens flickering again. as far as i can see the issues only on my two side monitors with my main screen not being affected. I have never had problems with these monitors and im sure there is nothing wrong with them. I think i may have dialed the problem down to having shadow play enabled it seems like the screen only wants to flicker when its enabled which is not supposed to happen i have used shadow play consistentlywith my previous gpu (980 ti) aswell as this current 2080 Ti. i have had this card for about 3 months give or take and it hasnt shown any of the problems relating to a defect 2080 ti. I thinking it may be a driver issue but again i am pretty sure i had the driver 417.71 for quite a while before these problems started and my shadowplay is always on.
  3. Well i got really frustrated with what was happening so i clean reset everything my windows all my drives everything currently i have only installed steam and chrome and a game currently running it with programs on other monitors and nothing is wrong no flickering no anything. This i think clears up my worry that the gpu is faulty so it was something to do with my driver or a program i was using.
  4. About 5 days ago i have recently started have screen flickering issues out of nowhere whenever i have a game launched. Im not sure why this is happening or what could be the problem but my main monitor which is in between my two side monitors is fine but, for example when i start a game and then tab out or use another screen to say browse the web or watch a video or do literally anything the two side screens will barely flicker long lines sporadically every like 5 to ten seconds. i have had this setup for a very long time and it has been working fine the way it is. Specs: CPU: Intel Core i7-8700K GPU: Nvidia RTX 2080 Ti SSD: PNY CS900 120GB SSD: Samsung 860 Evo 500GB HDD: WD Blue 1TB RAM: Aorus 3200mhz 2x8GB MBD: Gigabyte Z370 AORUS Gaming 5
  5. *UPDATE* My problem i was having has been resolved it was in fact the ram i was using that was holding my entire computer back by more than just half. My fps are doing fine now and my GPU is performing just as it should now here are some pics of the new ram. (Thanks to those who helped me out in this post i figured i would update after a a little while once i was sure everything was fixed)
  6. yea i have ran multiple stress tests with prime 95 they have always been fine
  7. This is my msi while not playing anything as well as a screenshot of my task managers performance when my desktop is pretty much idling
  8. yea should can you tell me exactly what u want me to do and how i have it installed i usually have it up to make should my gpu is always ok. i honestly dont know exactly how to use it
  9. Yes i am aware of the fps boost i might receive by going dual channel i was expecting around 10-20 fps boost but i am missing alot more than even 20 fps here below is from a UserBenchmark test that i just did although this could just be irrelevant information.
  10. When its comes to wattage i have an 850W power supply that should be enough especially since im only overclocking my cpu to 4.9Mhz the gpu is just what it runs at stock. When i am playing games the cpu and gpu are getting the wattage they need if there is some kind of test you would like me to do and post results i would be more than happy to. I could definitely be missing something here.
  11. In one particular game i am even watching somebody get an average of 110-130 fps on max settings in 1440p and i myself get around 100 or less in 1080p. Im somebody who plays mainly for the fps boost in games i play alot of survival shooters so im not crazy about 2k or 4k i got this GPU mainly because i wanted high frame rates but there is definitely something up with my pc
  12. Well i am playing at 1080p on an RTX 2080 Ti i am testing my fps through Battlefield V through a video that is using the same exact gpu and cpu that i have but the differences are pretty much night and day between our performance i test in the same area with the same settings and where they are getting (heres a realistic example) 147 fps in an area of the map, i go to the same spot and have 70... and these test are on the same resolution i make sure of that before anything. i can invest in 2x8gb sticks of ddr4 3200mhz ram as an upgrade but my question is will that really boost my performance up that drastically?
  13. I have two different kinds that i have tested. I realized recently that it is better to have two sticks of ram for the dual channel benefit in games, although truthfully i bought all the pieces to my PC about two years ago when i first built my desktop. All the parts except my Ram have been exchanged for newer pieces since then. The stick i mainly use is a HyperXFury 2133mhz 16 GB stick and i have just tried an 8GB Ballistix stick from another pc that has a higher mhz i think 2600 something i cannot remember the last bit of it. but the performance pretty much stayed the same. still getting around 60-70 fps less than should be expected which is pretty upsetting.
  14. I want to leave this as short and simple as possible, first off here are the specs of my desktop. Aorus 2080 Ti extreme edition (Watercooled) i7 8700k clocked at 4.9 mhz 16 GB of DDR4 Ram (one stick, potential problem?) Aorus z370 gaming 5 motherboard Noctua NH-D15 Air cooler for cpu EVGA 850w Bronze modular power supply the fans/ storage (yes OS is on and SSD as well as a separate SSD for games too) i will list if nessesary but i dont see a point atm. My problem is that i am getting significantly low fps on just about every single game i run i have compared to benchmarks, youtube videos with the same CPU and GPU running the exact game im playing on the exact settings, ect...I have done just about everything that i can within my knowledge to solve the problem i am having. There is 100% an issue with my computer but from what i can see there is nothing wrong with any components on my computer. so if there is anyone who can help me try and figure out what i should do to fix the fps issues i am having i would greatly appreciate it. There is probably information i may have missed, i am happy with answering any questions. pls help i will provide pictures of the setup i case that may be needed. (Side Note) I know the cooler is huge and take up alot of space but there is honestly no cooling issues at all with this temps are all fine even under extreme load.
