  1. Just ran the intel tool, but it also found nothing
  2. I already updated my BIOS but it changed nothing. All drivers/firmware are up to date. The problem in device manager only affects the PCI slot, i tried a network card in the PCI-E slot and it worked just fine.
  3. 1. I tried both, preinstalling the drivers didnt work so i DDUed and restarted 2. Win 10 Home 3. i tried a Quadro t600, 670, 1050ti and 3050 4. Custom built PC (asus p8z77-v mainboard, i7 3700k)
  4. Hey, i wanted to add a GPU to an older PC so a friend can use if for some light gaming. When i add a GPU to the system, it crashes while booting to windows. In the device manager it tells me, that the PCI-communication controller drivers couldnt be installed/initialized. What could cause that problem? I already tried another GPU, updating the bios and a fresh windows installation. Any help is appreciated!
  5. would the adapter cable work with the Silverstone SST-ECS04 RAID-Contr. PCIe x8 card?
  6. Hey, a friend of me wanted to get a NAS but accidentally ordered SAS drives (6TB Seagate Exos E 7E8 ST6000NM029A), sadly the shop has a no return policy so he cant just return them. Which PCIE card can you reccomend for those drives? I also need a power adapter for them, right? Which adapter could i use. Any help is appreciated !
  7. I will give it a try, but if i wont be able to overclock them, would the upgrade be worth it?
  8. Never really looked into memory OC, only did CPU. I know that optimizing timings can do a lot, but i dont know how it works. I already tried adjusting memory speed but anything higher then 3200 will result in a hard crash .
  9. Hey, i am (finally) getting a CPU upgrade (from a 7700k), but with the current DDR5 situation i will be probably going for a DDR4 board. I still have DDR4-3200 CL-16-20-20-38 RAM from my old CPU. Would upgrading it to DDR4-4000 CL-18-22-22-42 make a difference?
  10. I am using a Corsair H115i RGB PLATINUM. I guess the best thing to do would be to buy the CPU and a mainboard and test the temps with this cooler. If the chip gets too hot, I'll try going for a custom loop with 2*280mm rads.
  11. Hey, i want to buy a 12900K but most reviews i have seen say, that it uses a lot of power and it gets very hot. Currently i am using a 280mm aio. Would this be enough to cool the CPU? Cant fit a 360mm aio in my case because my GPU is too long and it blocks the front slot. Only other cooler i could use would be a custom watercooler with 2*280mm radiators.
  12. Hey, i plan to replace my old 7700k with a new Ryzen 9 5950X and I wanted to ask, how big the difference between 3200mhz and 3600mhz Ram would be. I still have my 64GB 3200mhz cl16 ram from my i7 7700k, should i keep it for the Ryzen or sell it and buy new memory (3600mhz). (new memory would cost me 550€)
  13. ok i reapplied the thermal past (had the corsair preapplied stuff on there and is fucking SUCKS, didnt even melt once, was still on layer on the waterblock!) temps are reduced now, but i cant apply a lot of pressure on my CPU, since my board just wont boot then (Asus Maximus Hero VII). Semms like a well known problem, the board cant handle a lot of pressure! So now my waterblock is just sitting very loosly on my CPU (i can move it arround without a lot of force) ran 20min stress test and i never saw 90°c anymore, max was 85°C average on 70-75c
