zarrexx reacted to rice guru in Earphone/IEM Recommendations?
I don't own or have any on hand to compare all that I have are when I tried them back when I was into getting more expensive IEMS. soundstage wise I remember the blessings to be the widestout of the 3. but the widest soundstage I have heard as of recently are the BVGP DM6 which are actually quite nice for the price.

Well, your GPU isnt the greatest at running 4K. Id get a monitor without itor with freesync as it ks more or less a freebe. Better of saving 250€

zarrexx reacted to yarukidaro in The BEST Gaming Monitor. Period.
Can someone address the issue of why Linus claimed this panel to be 10 bit (specifically "true 10 bit, non frc")? because, no matter where I look, specs for this thing all say 10 bit with dithering or 8bit+frc. Who do I believe?

I understand what you mean but in my case that database wouldn't work. I have already found a solution to my problem, I have contacted local retailers asking them to access their databases and so far Tesco replied, which is a great start and I can given basing my project off that.

https://www.esha.com/products/nutrition-database-api/
give that a look.
You can access it like
wsdemo.esha.com/api/foods?query=burger which returns json
edit;
In python you can do
import requests import json with requests.Session() as s: r = s.get('http://wsdemo.esha.com/api/foods?query=burger') items = json.loads(r.text) for item in items['items']: print(item['description'])
output, not all all the items as there are pages but you get the idea.
hamburger, double cheeseburger, jr bacon cheeseburger, double cheeseburger, with spread cheeseburger, Whopper Jr cheeseburger, double, bacon cheeseburger, Double Double, with spread cheeseburger, jr deluxe hamburger, Whopper Jr hamburger, small hamburger, with spread cheeseburger, with ketchup & mustard cheeseburger, Double Double, with mustard & ketchup cheeseburger, small hamburger, kids' cheeseburger cheeseburger cheeseburger, homestyle, GrillBurger bun, hamburger hamburger, homestyle, GrillBurger hamburger, Jumbo Jack cheeseburger, Western Bacon cheeseburger, frozen, microwaveable hamburger cheeseburger, Jumbo Jack

You can use the API that Google has to get search results in an app friendly (sort of) format: https://developers.google.com/custom-search/json-api/v1/overview

zarrexx reacted to Yamoto42 in AVL trees python question
By definition, the heights of the two branches of any SUBtree can differ in height by more than one. That is the key, and why it can be balanced with only a single restructuring. Trees are naturally recursive structures. We can categorize root, interior, and leaf nodes, but interior nodes are all roots as well. This recursive nature propagates upwards as well, meaning while the error effects the tree as a whole, it is only sourced at a single node. Fixing the (sub)tree rooted at that imbalanced node fixes the source of the error, and thereby the entire tree.

zarrexx reacted to prolemur in Python Regular Expression Help.
I only got this
^M(r|rs|s) ([A-Z].*)+$ It matches anything that starts with Mr, Mrs or Ms then a space, then a capital letter followed by 0 to unlimited other characters. That's where I got stuck. I don't know how to break out of that infinite character from the period when a space is the next character and match following words starting with a capital.

zarrexx reacted to dannytech357 in Python Regular Expression Help.
This may be a little closer to what you want:
(M(?:r|rs|s)(?:\.?) (?:[A-Za-z\s]*?))(?:\s[a-z]|\n|$|\.) It will also match Mr, Mrs, and Ms and read until it finds a space followed by a lowercase character, the end of the line, or the end of the string. It will match everything the way you wanted it to. I also added (?:\.?) to optionally match Mr., Mrs., and Ms., but you can remove that if you don't think you need that

zarrexx reacted to nickl in Caesar Cipher Problem Python
Easier method to decipher a Cesar Cipher is to analyse the frequency of characters, and match them to the distribution of letters in normal text. This would work best if you have a large body of text to decipher.
Video on Khan Academy about the Cesar Cipher and how it is most easily cracked.
