So I performed the action as suggested by VinsinityKT and an Intel agent, and unfortunately it did not work. I uninstalled the old hardware's drivers and then installed the new hardware's drivers and I still remained at the same point. Thankfully, I made a back-up of the old software, so no harm has been done. (yet)

So It is currently 8:26 PM. I will have to pick this up tomorrow. Maybe, it will bring new insights.

Let me give that a go after the system updates are finished. I'll let you know how things are going!

Made an account to seek aid, I recently received an Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 7265 wireless receiver to replace the original receiver installed from the factory. I set myself upon it because of the glowing recommendations from other users of Dell laptops. However, I met grand resistance where my peers had none. Mainly, the receiver is not speaking with the rest of the system. My elder brother(who happens to have built several PCs of his own) installed the card, taking care to put the white and black antenna cables where they belong. Currently running through system updates to maybe get to a system download of the drivers, but I'm not hoping for much success. Laptop model is an Inspiron 5555.
