  1. Hello, Thanks for fast reply to my post. I thought it was geo blocking but it makes no sense why part of Canada where I live would be geoblocked and other parts of Canada work fine. My vpn connects to Ontario server so it works when on that location vpn. Anyways Thanks for the help. Vash
  2. Hey, I have a weird problem that I think is network issue but not sure. I live in Canada and purchase games from Gamersgate My problem is it has not worked in over a year without a work around. So here is the problem when on Gamersgate if I try to purchase a game (in any browser) I get error that says "An error occurred while creating your order" as soon as I hit checkout button. Gamersgate says there system can not see my location so it fails to open payment window. But if I log in using VPN and try to checkout then the payment window opens and I can continue with purchase. IT does not happen on any other site so I am unsure of what is going on. My IP provider says it is not an issue with them. Gamersgate says it is not a problem with them. And for me on any computer or browser even at other peoples homes the problem still happens. It even happens on my friends pc's which I find really weird. So can anyone think of why this happens and how to fix it, as I am tired of always having to use VPN to buy from GG? Thanks Vash
  3. Hey Guys & Gals, Problem is now fixed. I went to ASUS site and downloaded a utility "GPU Tweak III" that is in beta. https://www.asus.com/campaign/GPU-Tweak-III/ I have been able to alter the fan speed and what temps fan should increase. Now I have no more burning up and GPU stays less than 80c (Fan sounds like a jet but worth the noise for cooler gpu). Thanks Vashta
  4. Hello, Thanks for fast reply. The card came in my old prebuilt computer and I transferred it to this newer system. The only marking on the card says ASUS with no other identifying printing on it. Only info ASUS would give me is that it is Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 which I already new from dxdiag and HWMonitor. Also in Device Manager when I go to display it shows same and all info in properties/details shows the same. Even with shroud off no other info shows on the card. As for taking off the side panels on case the GPU temps go up/increase a few degrees. (Not Counting CPU which remain constant). It runs cooler (same as first post temps) with side panels on. Today before I applied thermal paste I had upgraded my case fans to the 140mm from 120mm hoping it might fix the issue but temps remain aprox what I posted. When this issue started I thought it just needed cleaning but it did not help as I keep my pc pretty clean. Thanks Vashta
  5. Hello Guys and Gals, I have a older graphics card ASUS GeForce Gtx 1070 several years old but it is getting really hot over last month or so even in games with low graphics. The max temps are 80-95 deg C and it is worrying me for being so hot. I have cleaned the fan, heatsink and changed the thermal paste 3 times today and 3 different brands. The last change was to Kryonaut thermal paste. My case is cool and has plenty of airflow and my cpu Ryzen 5 3600 temp is low at 70 deg C under various games. 3 x 140mm case fans and 2 x 120mm fans connected to rad. CPUID HWMonitor shows me the gpu section and it has 2 lines for temp. GPU is one and the 2nd is hot spot. While typing this post the gpu says 28C and the hotspot say 38C. I know thermal paste has full coverage/even spread. My gpu has one weird fan like a (Hampster) wheel and a large shroud. Any ideas one what I should do to cool this card or is this normal? Thanks in advance Vashta
  6. Hello, Ok thanks I will get them from AMD. Have a great day and stay safe. Vash
  7. Hello, Ok Thanks for the help and fast reply. I will get new chipset drivers from ASRock B450 Steel Legend. I only recall one set of install drivers from install disk but will check their site. Thanks again for the help. Vash
  8. Hello, Thanks for fast reply to my post, I really appreciate it. Ok so upgrading it will work but I need to upgrade chipset drivers after I do the switch? Thanks Vash
  9. Hey Guys and Gals, Can a Ryzen 5 3600 be changed to a Ryzen 5 5600x without needing to reinstall windows? I know my motherboard can handle it with current bios as can my Power supply and cooler. I dont want to have to reinstall every program again. Thanks in advance Vash
  10. Hey, Did you install chipset drivers after windows was installed or during the install? Gigabyte requires that chipset drivers must be installed during Windows setup and not after windows is installed. Hope that helps. Vashta
  11. Hey, Your info provided is lacking such as MOBO, CPU and other data. Depending on MOBO sometimes the Chipset needs to be installed during Windows setup. My old gigabyte board was like that and had similar problem. I kept installing Chipset drivers after Windows install was done, but gigabyte told me they had to be put on during install of Windows and not after. 2nd, What OS do you have? Did you Right click taskbar speaker and make sure volume is turned up for Microphone? Did you check to see if mic is disabled? Did you open device manager to make sure devices show up without warning on them? If you hear sound thru headset my guess is it simply a volume setting. Also have you tried headset on different USB port? Also The Hyperx Cloud 2 has firmware that will likely need upgrading as I have same headset. Also make sure the mic on headset is plugged in all the way as mine become unplugged often. Good Luck Vashta
  12. Hello, So I do not think it is software or windows issue. Several AMD FX cpus have problems like that. The worst is the FX-9590 but the FX-8300 also has same problem. There is a fix but it will sometimes work. Enter your Bios and program bios to CPU speed and no overclocking. All setting for CPU including voltage must be set manually. Do not use auto for cpu or you will keep getting freezes. A google search will show you same problems for almost any FX CPU. It seems the freq varies to much and that in turn locks up windows. I went thru same thing with my old FX-9590 and finally gave up after 3 years of constant trouble. I have replaced every part including my mobo and cpu just to have same issue. I would suggest you get rid of the CPU and fo with non-FX CPU. Hope the info helps. Vashta
  13. Hey Guys, Got a couple follow-up questions. If I have an SSD from my old system "c:" drive and I want to use it on new system as the new "c:" drive. If the drive is partitioned can i simply plug the drive in and then when I install windows again will it wipe the partitions on it into one partition? Also if that drive has a root virus would installing Windows on it wipe out the virus? Or how could I wipe the old ssd with the virus on it so drive can be used safely? Thanks in advance Vashta
  14. Hello Electronics Wizardy, Ok Thanks I will do the change Early Jan after holidays as to busy now. Thanks for all your help. Have a great Christmas and Holiday Season. Vashta
  15. Hello Otatyaro, Errors I get while installing Programs vary but say something similar to "An error occured during the installation of assembly component. Hresult 0x80070490" . Next System Restore will not work ever. If I turn it on for drive "c:" I can never create a restore point ever! If I go back into restore setting I can't shut off as drive letters are gone. That even happens after doing full factory restore. As for Warranty the Company says they will not fix a software problem. They say if I pay I can send it back to them but they will only do a system reset which I have done 7 times myself. I have no virus or malware 100% sure. I have done sfc /scannow and every Dism to check, find and fix issues and none work. Done Chkdsk as well and nothing. I assume the installing they put on system in factory is glitched. Its even worse now because of crapping Windows 10 1809 which royally goofed up lots. I have given up trying to repair which leave me with one option, which is to do a full wipe and install windows from scratch without a Partition for factory reset. Maybe then I can enable the system restore option and maybe programs will start installing without errors. I wanted to be sure before I go ahead with a full wipe and reinstall as I have not done on this system yet. Thanks Vashta Hello Electronics Wizardy, Thanks for the fast reply. So am I correct that chipset drivers need to be installed during Windows install? My old PC had Gigabyte Mobo and they told be on my old PC that Drives had to be installed for chipset during Windows install. And local shops I called said chipset drives had to be put on during Windows install and some said Windows would do it on its own if it needs them. So I just want to be sure. Thanks Vashta
