matrixmodulator reacted to SpookyCitrus in Easy fix for this laptop screen problem?
That's either a bad/lose display cable or a faulty display panel.

matrixmodulator reacted to Kilrah in Is this noise normal for a new 16TB WD Red drive?
I wouldn't worry about it.

matrixmodulator reacted to Kilrah in Is this noise normal for a new 16TB WD Red drive?
Seems like the rattling is more from the case/mounting, but yeah if it's a higher performance drive it'll be seeking more "aggressively" than usual desktop ones.

matrixmodulator reacted to DigitalGoat in What is this connector for? on WD Red drive
Looks like a debug/ testing connector, for manufacturer, could be wrong though.
-
matrixmodulator reacted to AbydosOne in What is this connector for? on WD Red drive
It's probably a serial connection for debug/programming in the factory. I'm not aware of any end-user application.

matrixmodulator got a reaction from Slayerking92 in Best pcie sata card for hard drives?
What's the best ?
I currently use IOCrest since a while, had no problem but i need more sata ports for hard drives.
Either another 4 port card or i remove the IOCrest 4 port i already have and replace it for a 6 or 8 port ?
I have important information in theses hard drives i want the best, which one is most reliable?

The newer CPU might have more IPC. (click for more info what IPC means.)
TL:DR the newer CPU might be able to do more in one cycle compared to the older one, thus need less cycles.

Doesn't seem to be lots of problems with this model.. Just go ahead and flash it.

Recommend me the best, thickest, high quality, fastest USB3 type A to B cable please

It's for reducing latency in audio interface.

matrixmodulator reacted to mariushm in Which usb port is the fastest on my motherboard?
The red ones are USB 3.1 Gen 2 (10 gbps) provided by the AsMedia controller.
They used AsMedia controller because the chipset's usb controller can't do 10 gbps.
It's been said that Intel USB controllers are better at throughput than AsMedia or other controllers (Etron , Via etc) BUT that statement was at the time when USB 3.0 5 gbps was the new thing and USB 3.1 Gen 2 (10 gbps) or USB 3.1 Gen 2 2x2 (20 gbps) were not even invented yet.
It's quite possible the AsMedia controller that does the 10gbps ports is made with a more modern design inside and when working at the slower 5 gbps, it may be just as good as the Intel USB controller inside the Z270 chipset.
The chipset (Z270) does all the other USB ports, because it has no built in USB 3.1 Gen 2 capability :

matrixmodulator got a reaction from CommanderAlex in CPU is at 100% even after reboot... why?
ah yeah that's it, it was at 100%, so open hardware monitor is not seeing this, just the task manager, so the cpu doesnt maybe really is at 100% but is at a 100% state.

matrixmodulator got a reaction from Eighjan in CPU is at 100% even after reboot... why?
18% right now.
I have 32gb

matrixmodulator reacted to Fasauceome in GTX 1070 overclock for a few more fps on CyberPunk
Yeah GPU boost is probably doing everything it can to bump the performance up
-
matrixmodulator reacted to Fasauceome in GTX 1070 overclock for a few more fps on CyberPunk
increasing the power limit might yield the best performance for you, but feel free to tweak the core clock to see if it improves the experience.

matrixmodulator reacted to steelo in 2x GTX 1070 SC2 vs 1x GTX 3070. How much more fps would i get?
I would imagine because it would be hell to code the games to utilize two separate GPU's.
-
matrixmodulator reacted to samcool55 in 2x GTX 1070 SC2 vs 1x GTX 3070. How much more fps would i get?
Don't even bother with double 1070.
Most games only run on 1 GPU anyway so it's going to be 1070 vs 3070 in most new games.
If you use Vsync you won't get anything above 60fps because Vsync on means 60fps limit.
So, ditch the 1070, disable vsync unless turning it off breaks the game and get a 3070 if you can.

matrixmodulator reacted to SupaKomputa in xps 13 9350 laptop screen turns off and on for brief moment
This is probably accurate.
Other issue probably the gpu is failing, or the lid close sensor is bad.

Download a program called Process Explorer. See what is eating your ram. Probably a poorly written program causing a memory leak.
