Stormseeker9 reacted to Spotty in using 9th gen in b360 MB
B365 chipset motherboards will support 9th gen processors out of the box.
B360 chipset motherboards may support 9th gen processors with a BIOS update. You will need an 8th gen CPU in order to perform the BIOS update, or have a store that is willing to provide the BIOS update for you. Some B360 motherboards may come already updated.

I'd wait for the new AMD Zen CPUs before building to see what they have to offer over Intel.

If you can wait until July 7th(maybe a few days after for reviews) for Ryzen 3000 and RX 5700/RX 5700 XT then you should. Ryzen 3000 should provide significant boosts in single-core speed which leads to better performance in game, and the new RX GPUs should be better price to performance than current cards. Nvidia may also be doing price cuts and other stuff soon(to combat AMD's new RX GPU launch), so you might want to wait for that.

Intel for 120hz or higher refresh rate and if you only game. Amd for everything else. Or just wait for ryzen 3rd gen.

It's not really an upgrade from a performance perspective. If you went up to the 5700XT that would offer more of a tangible difference.

I don't know what you're going on about...

Corsair does not make cables for Seasonic PSUs.

Type 3, Type 4, etc. are made for Corsair PSUs.  Not EVGA, not Asus, not Seasonic.....

Yeah.. they might physically fit.  But they're not the same pinout.

I linked you to the @CableMod website to show you that even CableMod lists TWO DIFFERENT SET OF CABLES for both Corsair and Asus.  The Asus one using Seasonic cables.... NOT CORSAIR.

I can't link you to Corsair's site showing that Corsair and Seasonic/EVGA are two different sets of cables because CORSAIR DOESN'T MAKE CABLESFOR SEASONIC PSUs.

You can't buy cables made for one PSU and expect them to work with another.

Keep it up and you're going to fry your components.

I would suggest grabbing a 3200mhz if budget permits. Ryzen loves ram at 3000/3200mhz, makes it definitely work a lot faster

Not to mention that they wouldn't be interested, unless they got a boatload of money for such an endeavour, or a shitton of marketing and still a truckload of money. At a quick guess, they probably wouldn't even bother scoffing in your direction for anything less than a $100k payment.

Yeah, it'll work. Has all the cables you need, and double the wattage you really need (hence why I'd go the 500w CM instead and save 10 pounds).

Here's the cables that come with the BQ Pure Power 11 CM 600w.

Amazon must have wrong information (I did say earlier it was horrible for product specs!) The Corsair TX550M has 2x 6+2pin PCIe connectors coming off of a single modular cable. So it's one cable that splits off in to two connectors.

Edit: errhhh.... Corsair website is actually showing that the TX550M has 4x PCIe connectors. Wut?
