Stormseeker9 got a reaction from Juular in Help Identifying PSU, AMACROX AX650-S
So a quick google i found that the PSU’s are made by FSP. I couldn’t directly find the ‘S’ model but it seems to only have a 80+ rating and the psu is from around 2010/12in terms of manufacturing/age.

Based on the age of the PSU and other factors, I suggest getting a new PSU. Something like a Corsair RMx or similar you can’t go wrong with

    edit;
found this list but nowhere it mentions ‘S’.

What does the laptop spec say?

Most laptops have optimus so the hdmi port is connected to the igpu, not the mx150.

As someone who bought two 64GB SSDs in march of 2010 at the mindboggling price of like 149.97$ CAD each...
I can safely tell you that they were complete garbage and barely any faster than a hard drive in sequential reads/writes.  It's not even a contest when compared to SSDs of just a few years later, not to mention today. The only thing they excelled at compared to spinning rust, was in random reads/writes. So of course if they used such old drives, I don't expect any good results.

But hey, even if they were garbage, they still last a long ass time and unless they literally fail outright, usually you can still Read off them even if all the cells are "dead".

This is the SSDlife reports of one of my SSDs, all the way from 2012 when I first used the software, to 2018, when I last used said software (but not when I last used the drive itself, I used it up until I built my current PC last year...)
It had been showing as "dead" for the past few years already, got a picture from 2015 with it being at 0% too. It still worked. ?‍♂️
I still got one of them working on my Wii, for Homebrew and "games backups". Where it sees little to no Writes and just Reads so it's a good place for it I guess.

Its worth noting that SLC data is from drives deployed in 2010-2012.

And only some of the 2-bit MLC dats is from 2009-2012.

So as far as i can tell we dont have newer SLC drive data unless i missed something.

    Hello,

My advise is to never get used PSU.

Since your missing the cables, which will probably cost you as much as the unit itself, I'd recommend to get a brand new RM, RMx or TXm from Corsair, a Bitefenix Formula Gold or Whisper M, Phanteks AMP, all available in 550/650W.

1.49 is pretty excessive. personally I'd walk it back, voltage degradation is very real in that range.

Generally speaking, OC experts advise 1.4 or less for 24/7 overclocks on intel.
