  1. Absolute unit of a PSU. You’ll be fine, very solid choice
  2. I always recommend Corsair RMx series - if available to you, you can have a look at these as well as a replacement
  3. Have you checked CPU temps? Is there adequate thermal paste / good contact? what OS are you running?
  4. Oh shit haha, I see where I went wrong my bad! I thought ryzen 2000 was zen 2… and thus 3000 zen 3. I forgot that zen 3 was a 5xxx SKU. as you can see, I haven’t built a new pc since then (sign)
  5. Wasn’t the whole ‘max’ line released by MSI after issues with all zen 3 CPU’s on b450, consumers finding bios update a bit difficult and improved ram range? iirc back then ‘max’ boards were shipped with a zen 3000 ready bios. Can of course understand that since then things may have changed including bios’.
  6. I mean that is definitely weird. just an idea coming top of mind, have you tied and reinstall fresh the OS on a different drive/ssd, than used currently?
  7. What GPU do you have? What are your system specs? Did it work before? Did you make any recent changes?
  8. I mean sure, there are newer boards or better ones but all more expensive than the $100 you mentioned. Especially newer gen boards. do you have any specific requirements the mobo needs to have or just general use? I would opt for the tomahawk for $80 if it were just my main pc /gaming pc and I’m tight on budget
  9. That is a decent mainstream board. Would go well with your 5500. What is the price?
  10. Yes. That is what I’ve been saying.
  11. Understand all that, but with my knowledge of electrician diploma, pre cursor to full fletched, the case itself is not grounded. It are the ground wires connected to the circuits which in turn are grounded via either a copper pole or other form of grounding a house. how the ground of the psu itself is externally connected to a case… well, I wouldn’t know how. I’ve built PC’s, never with a external grounding connector coming out of the psu.
  12. If you are upgrading to 1440p/144hz down the line, I’d fork out the extra £60 for longevity reasons and the extra performance.
  13. I would opt for the 3060, one gen newer and more performance than 2060
  14. The ground cable runs in the power cord to the wall. Your house is grounded and all electrical circuits. never heard of the ‘psu ground is connected to the exterior of case’. Was just wondering if this is different than what I mean
  15. Be sure to check that the pc manufacturer has not used proprietary connections, as then a new psu won’t work. Looking at you Dell.
  16. Rdr2 is such a fantastic game. I would recommend not to pass it up ;)!
  17. Ram speed and the frequency your cpu runs at are not the same thing (I’m assuming this based on 3600mhz and you mentioning the 3.6ghz on cpu. have you tried to run the ram at 3200mhz? I know for older ryzen 2xxx and 3xxx running memory clock and IF at 1:1 was perfect. Just an idea that came up to me, not saying it will Solve your issue.
  18. RRP was around £470 I believe when it was launched, so at £400 I guess it’s an ok deal, although perhaps slight expensive? It being only £70 less than new.
  19. Could be kinder about it ! and actually write *useful* information, not repeating ‘new stuff’ ‘etc’ lol. @Shimejiihad an actual answer response.
  20. Thanks for that. I figured as the other GPU worked it can’t be board, but seems like it can be. Never knew! im never on newest hardware (pc in signature is the first PC I’ve owned that I had built myself, before that pentium 4/ CD days was my last PC)
  21. How can the board be at fault when OP mentions that when they put a 2070 in the system it worked fine?
