  1. Might be a corrupted user profile. You can try this if you want. Backup user files and remove problematic user account. Make a new local account. Sign in to Microsoft using the new local account. Fixed?
  2. Yeah of course. You gotto understand basic things like what CPU multi is, why you can't boot if you increase it, why you get bluescreen and how to use voltage and LLC to combat instability. I've personally never done any hardware modding like volt modding a video card. Totally. I've seen many threads along the lines of "I overclocked X system and now wont turn on" lol but then they go to places like here or OCN while that was alive and get told to clear CMOS and how and they learned. Ryzen CPU isn't the best to learn from though. They don't OC much it seems. There probably are guides though but silicone is not created equal so apart from basic knowledge I don't think there is much to learn from them.
  3. Then how to learn? Back in the day I learned by trial and error, as did most I believe. After all motherboards come with some way to clear CMOS. Head into BIOS and find whatever your motherboard vendor calls CPU voltage. Now try set offset voltage to negative (-) and 100mV (0,100V). Should boot fine. If not clear CMOS and forget about this.
  4. Without XMP it will run at JDEC speed as default ...can't remember which speed but if you enable XMP it should run 5200, yes. You can also tweak settings manually.
  5. Just reboot. Should be fixed by downloading new files from MS servers.
  6. Quite simple. Capitalism. What they want us to do, which is supported by politicians due to lobbyism is to make us pay for a product and pay again and again etc. It's just a matter of how to make us pay as many times as possible.
  7. I have Phillips 'The One' 55" or thereabouts. I don't really remember the price but while not the best TV its IPS and have Android. Being IPS it has nice colors. It's 4K btw. I can easily install apps for Dinsey+ etc and even use it as a computer with web browsers and stuff like Spotify etc. I think it's pretty cool.
  8. S7 MaxV + does the job well. I'm happy with mine allthough the price was stiff... I think it's cheaper to get the station bundeled though. It spends an hour cleaning, still has maybe 60% battery left. It cleans and vacuums better than I do hehe. The auto empty dock works great even without dust bag inside. Carpets are no problem. Seems to be a clever little bot with it's camera but the ones without should work fine too. The auto empty dock though, gotto love that.
  9. Sounds like LLC to me. Other board makers can call it something else.
  10. Did you press F2 on your keyboard? Did you set UISB as boot device? CMOS battery I presume. Yes, PEG stands for PCI Express Graphics. You booted into BIOS and set USB as 1st boot device but after you saved settings and restarted the PC the screen in your picture appeared?
  11. There is something called dust filters. But go clean your room. It's healthier for the carbon based life form(s) occupying. /shrug
  12. You can try and take all your usb devices and wiggle their cables/connectors gently to see if there is a faulty cable or connection somwhere. If you wiggle your keyboard and the sound comes up it may be that. Wiggle it gently some more and see if the sound is more constant.
  13. Did you use the same cooler on the 3600? My 3600x reached max 70°C in Cinebench on Dark Rock 4 (not pro). Maybe your AIO should indeed be RMA. Also note that the airflow in my 3600x pc was not great..!
  14. A GTX 1080Ti gets completely obliterated by enabling RT. If you have a 1050Ti you shouldn't even think such thoughts. While tecnically possible, sure if Nvidia added support in the driver but I find that practically impossible.
  15. Well for my part, I don't play games on my phone. It just sound like battery destruction to me. If they're really old though... who is to say they are guaranteed to work without issues on a modern OS anyway? I think that if the devs wanna keep it preserved they can update them. If they don't they probably don't care so why should I?
  16. You may wanna try loosening timings. You can also drop to 3200 I doubt you'd ever notice the difference.
  17. Not to mention bloatware and it's included bugs!
  18. True, I thought about mentioning it but with the nature of this thread I didn't feel like recommending third party software with more advanced settings than the normal installer. I guess it wouldn't harm if I mentioned it though. But yeah, I also think it's a must have for Nvidia users.
  19. Puuh hehe. Lemme see.. Well it is still possible to log on Windows witha local account but I think you need Pro version to do that and it seems that was what you were using. I don't know why it is not included on home. Luckily I upgraded my 7 Home licence to 8 Pro when I upgraded to Windows 8. Yes, still able to use my "Windows 7 OEM licence" on a completely different Windows 11 machine. That's something. As for the suspicious activity on FF XIV account. I think that is related to IP adress change. Once I tried to log on to my XIV account but had forgotten to turn off my VPN and I got the same. Annoying to be sure but got it sorted without too much hassle. They recommend 2-factor login but it is not required. I have never used it. When it comes to the SE (Square Enix who is the developer of the game) webstie(s) they could definitly improve them both in terms of useability and performance. Geforce Experience is just messy bloatware filled with bugs. I recommend not installing it (driver installer gives you the option not to). Yes, these things can definitly be improved. Why they haven't as of yet.. I dunno, maybe their software developers that designed these things aren't the best. I mean FF XIV is a great game. Nvidia drivers have mostly been stable for me, though I currently use AMD card. Microsoft is Microsft but that's just how it goes. Is any of this reasonable? I don't think so. There is much that needs changing but it doesn't seem to be a priority. I mean I get by fine but if I look to my friends they aren't as savvy and I have to help them out from time to time. Allthough if a computer is too complicated, there are consoles and they're pretty good now. I don't think there is BitLocker on Windows Home period. It is a Windows Pro, Enterprise etc thing.
  20. Well the DIMMs will work and they maybe or probably will work at 6000 but Asrock haven't tested them. You can also manually tune timings if you run into issues. G.Skill have a lot of other DIMMs on the QVL if you can find one of them locally.
  21. I don't see it on QVL, so there is no telling if 6000 would be stable or not. It will physically fit though as per the name of this thread. You can find your QVL here. https://www.asrock.com/MB/Intel/Z690 Steel Legend WiFi 6ED5/index.asp#Memory
