  1. True. But one can also actually get their hands on an Ally, plus you can play far more than just emulated games. From a price standpoint, the Ally has more value.
  2. It seems like you're far better off getting an ROG Ally and emulating.
  3. It's good to keep around as a backup to your main browser in the event of troubleshooting or just needing a clean browser for a dumb website temporarily.
  4. For me, the issue was both transmitter and receiver needed to be plugged into its own socket in an outlet and not into a powerstrip. But even then, the China specials you get on Amazon don't usually hold up, they tend to drop out here and there and eventually just stop working. At least the few I've used.
  5. I would recommend checking out RTings https://www.rtings.com/tv They review them and also have them segregated by use or desired feature. Their site helped me find the monitor I'm currently using.
  6. Can you take them to a friend's house and try there? My guess is you got really unlucky somehow. EDIT: I'm thinking something is tripping the over current protection on the PSUs themselves. Does the old PSU still work in the system just fine? At the very least, have you tried plugging the PSUs into their own socket in the wall and not on a powerstrip?
  7. I haven't used anything since initially setting up and testing my system (5800x3D | 7900XTX). I just use the AMD driver software to undervolt my card and call it a day. I haven't even touched my CPU because I don't really feel the need. Outside of testing or just having fun fudging numbers, I don't really think an external software is all that necessary these days. Just my jayztwocents
  8. Nah ignore these guys their being pricks. I think it's neat. Prolly overpriced for what it is, but it's like our generations "space age" stuff. Like how the styling of cars, vacuums, refrigerators, etc used to be designed like it was from the future. Idk how practical it would be as an actual eating utensil tho.
  9. My first guess would be the DP-HDMI adapter. What brand is it? If it's no name Amazon I'd start there.
  10. I know enough about electricity to injure myself with it. That said it looks like a chassis ground wire is attached to that one screw that looks like it was corroding (probably from heat). But that kinda looks like where the source of the heat started? Idk. Just a hunch. Glad you caught that in time though!
  11. It's prolly been said before but I wanna say it too...those colour coordinated dots that moved along with him as he spoke about each card was a massive help for someone like me who has severe dyslexia as typically my eyes just glaze over whenever info like that is presented to me. THANK YOU for those dots, please keep them as much as possible. I'm sure in editing they might suck to move around for different types of charts, but they were so freaking nice to see.
  12. Take a look at Backblaze's hard drive stats. Here's a link to their 2022 stats https://www.backblaze.com/blog/backblaze-drive-stats-for-2022/ It's not definitive, but there does seem to be more Seagate failures overall. Though, there's far more Seagate drives in general so the sample size is quite large to begin with. That said I've always had good luck with both Seagate and WD. The last Seagate I had lasted me about 10 years of constant power on/offs and some constant spinning as well. I've since replaced it with a WD Red NAS SSD. It's the "junk drawer" to my pc, but so far so good.
  13. Oh to be fair I've never paid for anything from MS ;). I just kinda meant in general. Besides that, I don't like having random software I will never use wasting space even if it's only 500mb. I'm just a little particular I guess.
  14. Even though it'll only be for "EU residents" it likely won't be hard to implement the same things on North American versions. Might be digging in regedit a lot but there's always someone that finds a way.
  15. Maybe try more rubber or something else soft but firm to help isolate the vibrations from the mount. I'd almost suggest a gimbal but those don't come cheap either. Edit: of course a gimbal would be impractical in terms of mounting it. Have you tried any basic windshield smartphone holder? Not sure if due to the shape of the windshield on the truck if they work or not. But worth a shot at least. https://www.amazon.com/Car-Phone-Mount-Windshield-Compatible/dp/B00Q3I8H80
  16. Everyone who starts to write a fanfic but ultimately abandons the project because of self esteem issues should totally get one of these! For real tho, for text processing this thing would be a life saver. If they could refine it a bit more like a Kindle I could see it becoming commonplace in offices and such.
  17. To add to this, in photography you typically turn image stabilization off when setting your camera on a tripod or just on a table or other such surface. Image stabilization will go nuts trying to stabilize itself when there's no actual movement. I don't know the science behind it, but I know I constantly forget to turn it back on after a long tripod shooting sesh xD. If possible, I'd try and find a setting to turn that off in the phone. See if this works for you
  18. We can't give you recommendations on bootleg keys, it's against the rules here. Not to mention, with it being your OS where you're likely to log into sensitive accounts and such, you're much safer buying a real key. But I would try the key transfer via an MS account first.
  19. My English isn't all that great so that's how I interpreted it. But that's even worse, and definitely an overreach on the bank's part. I guess they're worried about a data breach from some sketchy third party app a user has installed skimming info, logins, etc or something? But then that would mean they have horrible security to begin with.
  20. Personally I'd never install a banking app from a third party store. The only reason I could see is using an older device that is no longer supported. But even then, if I'm doing anything like that on my phone, I'd rather have an up to date one just to be safe.
  21. I understood maybe half that. More like a quarter of that. There's no perfect response to a situation like this. They responded in a pretty good way I think. They told us what they were gonna do, showed us how they were gonna do it, and now when the next "normal" video is uploaded we'll get to see for ourselves. Don't be a middle school English teacher, don't look too deeply into everything. Sometimes it's okay to take something at face value.
  22. Oh it's only an hour. But you have to take US 222 which is ass. I'd recommend calling up Lester to find the nearest helicopter.
  23. Nah, it should be held in Virginville, PA. That's 99% of the fanbase!
