Connor_LindTV got a reaction from BTGbullseye in AMD white shroud
you could remove the shroud and paint it, tedious and only looksgood with a lot of effort but it is doable, look into model paint jobs like planes and boats, it will give you an idea

Connor_LindTV got a reaction from RMG in Content Creator - New PC/CPU Advice
I'm looking to build an ATX Gaming machine using AMD seeing as i have enjoyed my experience with AMD thus far. (parts listed below) my main goal is to stream at 6-8k Bitrate at Medium CPU or similar GPU preset for the best quality without overheating the hell out of my system and having a smooth and enjoyable gaming experience without throttling. Looking to see what the community thinks of my choices and if they have any suggestions for parts swaps of any kind and thought process behind it. and FTR i'm going to be using and NDI setup (NO CAPTURE CARD)
Fractal Design Meshify C (white)
ASRock x470 Taichi AM4 MOBO
AMD Ryzen 7 2700X 8-core (oc'd) Thank you to "fasauceome" for reminding me, once the Ryzen 7 3600X comes out i will be getting that one regardless of what system i have)
Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 16GB 2 x 8 3200 speed
Gigabyte GeForce RTX 270 Gaming OC (2070 because NVME encoding on this card is superior to 1080ti without buying a $600 GPU)
Corsair RM850X (white) PSU
4 X Corair LL120 RGB fans (with controller)
Corsair Hydro Series H150i PRO RGB 360mm AIO
Samsung 960EVO M.2 500GB NVMe PCI-express SSD
(totaling as of this post just barely over $2,000.00 (with windows, yes i buy windows, i don't wana hear it LUL )

Connor_LindTV got a reaction from James the Broke Gamer in Minimum cpu for obs 1080p 60fps?
1080p60 means nothing if your preset isnt low enough...
as far as CPU encoding what you want is to hit the medium preset on 1080p60 or 720p60 (or "slower") which will require a 8700K or Ryzen 7 2700X (at current generation, when Ryzen 3 comes out we will obvously have to see how it performs) BUT... right now X.264 (CPU encoding) is a better wuality at 720p60 and 1080p60 compared to NVENC... but at the same time NVENC is much less stress on the CPU.... so the choice is yours...
10XX series GPU's from invidia all have the same NVENC on board encoder.... so i would suggest a 1060 if you want to stream with NVENC (the quality wont be as good as 1080p60 on Medium preset)
If you need or want more information ill be live on my twitch in about 2-2.3 hours (4:30-5:00pm PST) if you have any other questions...

Connor_LindTV got a reaction from WereCat in New to pc gaming and finding friends
start by playing games and trying to find people you think you can get along with and just see if they want to play, also join discord and join some channels with people that stream, they usually have a "looking for group" or "LFG" channel you can post in and find people to play with

Connor_LindTV got a reaction from LaserLion in I need someones opinion on the new pc im trying to build
i would suggest a 8700K as well, i would also switch the MOBO out for a ASRock Taichi Mobo, much better for overlocking, with a BIOS Code display on the MOBO in ase you have issues, id go the 860 instead of the 970 seeing as its just cheaper and switch the ram for slower ram but RBG like the previously mention Tforce, id also consider a AIO instead of the aircooler so you can take advantage of the OC capabilities of the MOBO

Connor_LindTV got a reaction from nick name in monster build, long read but worth's every word ;)
i mean you can throw a box fan in front of it and just put it at its lowest preset.... you have enough rad there to cool 7 systems all together so id be more concerned about the types of metal in the rad vs the piping vs the blocks

Connor_LindTV got a reaction from Profezzional in First PC Build: Corsair 500D RGB SE Push/Pull Custom Loop, i7-9700k, RTX 2080
i would drag body parts through Texas sized deserts filed with broken glass, used nails and legos for that setup...
