  1. So I'm building a PC for a friend, but no matter what I do, I cant get a OS to boot. It boots to the bios fine, but It can't load windows 8.1. Im using a dell optiplex 390 motherboard, a 16gb SSD (for the OS) 400w PSU, intel pentium G645, and 4gb of ddr3. Thanks in advance.
  2. I tired both dedicated and onboard graphics. By a CMOS, reset, do you mean I need to replace the motherboard battery?
  3. You were right, I had it plugged into the rear fan header, but I correctly put into the cpu fan header. And while I don't get any weird shutdowns or beeps, it still doesn't display anything.
  4. You're right, but that's very odd. I'm using an Intel stock cooler, and it is spinning.
  5. Alright, so I"m working on this new build, but no matter what I do, it wont post. I've had the seller send me a replacement, and I still have the same problem: The motherboard powers on, but it doesn't display to screen. What's really odd, is if I leave it on, the system on long enough, it will turn off, then turn back on, and the MB speaker beeps. One low frequency, and one high one, over and over. The PC will then turn off, again, only to turn itself back on, and repeat the cycle. I've tried replacing the RAM, CPU, GPU, SSD, HDD, PSU, the monitor, and even the VGA cable. The parts I'm using are: Intel DH55TC microATX lga 1156 MB, Core-i3 550, 2x 4gb DDR3 RAM, GT 710, 120gb ssd, 500gb HDD, and a 500 watt PSU. Thanks in advance, Alex.
  6. This is kind of embarrassing but, im new. How do I do that? lol
  7. Do you prefer Windows 7 or 10? Why?
  8. I'm using "ancient technology", Core i3 550, 8gb ddr3, 450w PSU, 2gb GT 710, 500gb HDD, and 120gb SSD. The motherboard does have integrated graphics, and i've used both the VGA port on the motherboard, and the GPU. Still nothing.
  9. Iv'e just finished a new PC build, but no matter what I do, the darn thing won't post! Iv'e tried everything, reseating the RAM, reseating, and replacing the CPU, changing power supplies, trying Different RAM, switching from ssd to HDD, end even switching monitors. I have no idea what to do, so please send help.
