viceice got a reaction from Rem0o in FanControl, my take on a SpeedFan replacement
Thank you a lot for the extended offset range!

viceice reacted to QueenDemetria in To all the people who said 2GB VRAM for 1080p was enough
GTA V is a new game, at the time you asked 2Gb was probably enough. I remember when 1Gb was enough, and 768Mb, and 256...
Someday 12Gb will probably be entry level.

Also wanted to leave my thanks here. The software is amazing!

Yes 850W would be fine.

@viceice You do see gray/black label and CP-9020195 SKU code do you ? It's a new one.

If your board has an NVMe slot then it will work. That list is only what they have bought/procured/etc and tested to verify but in 99.99999% of cases storage works provided you don't do something like put an NVMe drive in a sata only M.2 slot or something.

It's an error, no idea how it ended up in tier C, it's position is in tier B.
It would if we would have more info about it, all we have right now is an assumption, based on external shots that it's the same platform as Chieftec Polaris.

They're all okay afaik.
The pro and the elite's heatsinks are just covered with plastic and well will affect the heatsinks performance.

FTFY, because both DC-DC and double-mag amp are independent regulation topologies, just different implementations. Double-mag amp are older, with somewhat worse performance (voltage regulation mostly) and used very rarely anyway, okay for budget PSU like Seasonic S12III tho.

@Dhonny Third link doesn't work for me. Choosing from those options, cheapest one, Gigabyte P650B would be okay. But with this GPU i'd recommend smth better, Gigabyte G750H probably since there are no other alternatives in high-end-ish range unless you go all the way to 14-15k ones like Seasonic Focus. I'm not entirely sure about that Segotep GP700, it may be on different platform than GP650.

@viceice Yeah, indeed looks like Chieftec Polaris platform, thanks.

but again, since its cheap, its probably sleeve bearing theres gotta be some "negative" points for it to be this cheap, or maybe its my skewed point of view, possibly
i mean, if it were to have a dual ball bearing or rifle bearing fan, i think you said it would put it at tier a tor tier a-, no? and since tier A psus are usually pricing between 900-1300 Turkish liras, these PSUs really do stand out 560 TL for 600w model, and 700 TL for 750w model. of couurse being modular probably have its cost probably, and thats surely a negative point i can be more okay
since you guys redeemed it with its quality ; i've suggested to alot of people. these units are being sold at the the same pr ice for a corsair vs 650 (grey), which costs about 550-600 tl range. and current price of hp performance gd 600w is 567 tl to be exact.
so it was a good addition to our PSU suggestion lists in our local forums. sadly, many people cannot take the freedom of spending 900+ turkish liras on more expensive PSUs such as xpg arc reactor again, i do suggest them those higher end PSUs but at least thanks to this budget model, they can stay way from models such as hydro 700 and corsair vs650
did I mention that my friend bought cooler master masterwatt lite 600w over this model for about almost the same price?
or do yu remember the guy i asked you abouıt? the one with corsair mwe bronze 700w and you said its ripples are bad? that psu costed him 650 TLs... but their point of view was askewed (maybe like me) and they rebuked me that they wouldnt buy a 600w psu over 700w psu... sadly...

i dont know if any high power represantatives here but i m very glad for them to create a budget psu that is okay and can be very affordoble for countries like us. thankx you alot, and again, thax you psu master people too

A Turkish guy on our forum has some ideas on you guys
im translating directly. i will send your answers to him as well (he seems ignorant though)
"I never was able to take these lists serious in my life. When I saw the Be Queiet's Pure Power is one tick below the best tier, I just laughed at them. Then they probably got it right and put into 5th category. They used to rule out High Power brand completely in the past, now for some reason they are putting them in. There are some improvements compared to past years but there are still some nonsense in their list. For example, Bitfenix Formula and Whisper series are listed above EVGA G2/P2 FSP Aurum PT Hydro G/G pro Seasonic Focus GX and such.
Even more so, NZXT E series are above those I listed. It is clear that the guy made the list have no idea that NZXT E and Seasonic Focus Gold is entirely built same way."
I, too, wonder if the claim is true, why did NZXT E is listed above the Seasonic Focus Gold? What made Focus gold worse?

that's the problem, the thermistors can be placed in weird places and even in the best scenario, next to the mosfet rather than being inside (hence why powerstages have better temperature monitoring)
In this case, just assume the VRM temperature is 20C higher than what the sensor reports. Just make sure you dont run anything that pegs the CPU at 90+% usage.
and also, for gaming the 3600 is already enough and that reduced power draw will help the board a lot

shouldnt get hotter than VRM, but could be at similar temps depending on the CPU cooler.

i think you're missing my question here im fine with temps gaming wise - i asked if this list is based on VRM Quality or mainly based VRM temps. for example, those that are in Tier E, cant they handle higher CPUs power delivering wise. if temps are checked and fine (for example for gaming), can they handle 3700x or higher?
