Ravendarat got a reaction from kirashi in Ltt Metal screwdriver?
Pretty sure that was one that wasnt even made by LTT but instead a different company that made it and sent it in to them. I dont think its something they are making and quite frankly would probably be highly cost preventative

Ravendarat reacted to FrozenIpaq in Stubby screwdriver load out question
I think their whole point, which I agree with, is the usability of it is drastically decreased by the size of the screwdriver. Even if it is closely surrounded by other components, the shaft is small enough that it doesn't make sense for a lot of instances where it might be needed. If you see a lot of magnetic retrievers, they're often long and thin to get into tight places where fingers won't easily fit. I would think most places you would use the stubby to retrieve a screw that you can also just use your fingers - mostly due to the size of the handle of the screwdriver and shallow shaft.

So having this bit as part of the standard loadout is a bit odd for a Stubby where the bit selection is smaller. I think their challenge might've been what other bit to choose - not sure what else you would replace it with that makes sense.

Ok I just read this thread start to finish, Im not gonna comment on every post in here I disagree with as its kind of beating a dead horse but at one point in time the OP stated he is 14. A 14 year old 99% of the time would never see the value in a $250 bag, your life style wouldn't dictate a bag like that. And you definitely at that age should not be spending that much on a backpack. But just because you cant justify that price based on your life style doesnt mean others cant.

When you compare things like build quality your Nike bag is not in the same league. Id put money on the fact that if I wanted to rip the straps off your bag with my bare hands I could, I wouldnt say the same about the LTT bag. You yourself said your bag had plastic buckles, that is a far cry from metal. The protection offered by the padding and the layout of the LTT bag will not be the same as your nike bag I bet, the LTT one will be better. I mean im obviously making some educated guesses here but if you find a picture of your bag online that you can link us to that would certainly help.

But its also kind of irrelevant because lets say you did find and amazing bag at $20 at the outlet store that offered the EXACT same quality and features as the LTT bag, that would only prove you found an amazing bag because a simple browse through Amazon at backpacks will show you that that $20 price point does not inherently have bags of the same quality.

Also on your car point, as someone that has been professionally working on cars for 23 years ill say this about BMW, they arent reliable, they are overpriced, they dont hold value and in general should be used as lease vehicles and once they are out of warranty should never be held on to unless you can maintain them yourself and have  a hook up on parts cause you are gonna need a lot of them. The amount of kids I have come into my shop with mid 2000s-2010 BMW that have problems and they cant afford to fix them would make your head spin, but why do they have them, cause they were "cheap" compared to the price they were when they were new and the kids didnt stop to question why they are so cheap

Ravendarat got a reaction from Noiram in LTT Wallet
I think this thread is a perfect example of why a wallet might not be the best product to produce for LTT. Seems like its somewhat regional based. As a Canadian all our bills are the same size and while we do still have coins I cant tell you the last time I have seen a mens wallet that held coins actually being used by anyone I know, and even when i was shopping for a wallet last year I cant recall even noticing any for sale. I wouldnt buy one that held coins personally. Where as it sounds like a lot of the Europeans have a use for the coin compartment and have differently sized bills. Kinda sounds like a logistic nightmare and a recipe for people complaining that the wallet doesn't perfectly suit their specific countries needs

We've gone through a battery of safety certifications and tests. I'm super not worried about this.

Also my kids had plenty of plywood-based toys. A couple splinters came off here and there and it was okay. Again, not worried about this.

Thanks so much for flagging this for us, though. We take the safety of our products EXTREMELY seriously, which is why this one has taken so long to bring to market.

Improving our inventory management so we can prevent stuff like this from happening is a big area of focus right now. Refunding your missing item + shipping is the best option available to us in that situation but I totally get how that's still not exactly preferable in comparison to getting all of what you ordered.

We do appreciate the support nonetheless and I'm glad to hear that you're enjoying your screwdriver at least. 🙂

Ravendarat got a reaction from Alex T88 in Feedback re: purchase made in August 2022
Ya I understand them wanting to wait and ship all at once, that makes total sense but if you do an order and the product is in stock when you ordered it should have been marked for you being that you already paid for it. It wasnt "lost in shipping" cause it would have been shipped in the same box as the screwdriver, thats the exact reason it wasnt sent individually in the first place. Which means it was lost in their warehouse, which means they should have known before the order was ever sent as I assume they check the invoice while they pack the box. And if they knew they should have contacted you BEFORE sending the screwdriver so you would have had the option of selecting a replacement product, and you certainly shouldnt have had to contact them after the fact to get this straightened out. To me this seems like a failure that passed through multiple hands and should never have happened. I have been a big defender of the store and their customer service but this scenario should have NEVER happened and played out this way.

Ravendarat got a reaction from Alex T88 in LTT store EU shipping
Just to put in perspective for me to get a bottle the shipping is $9.99 and I am about 1400 kms from Vancouver, so not that far. So for shipping to the middle of EU to only be double seems to me to be pretty reasonable. I think one of the problems is that there are minimums and you are ONLY ordering one bottle. Out of interest if you put 6 bottles in you cart how much is shipping? Might be worth it to see if you have any friends that want stuff and do a combined order and just split the shipping?

Vancouver is expensive, you are probably better off looking for an airBnB or similar a much further distance away and taking either an Uber or the skytrain to the convention area. Like a decade ago I went to Vancouver and stayed downtown and it was just a shade over $700 a night

You can role the dice and wait till you are closer to the date, I think the general rule of thumb is about 60 days out is when you can get the best rates, but of course then you are playing the game of making sure you can still get a room

Ravendarat got a reaction from Alex T88 in Screwdriver feedback
Just throwing this up here to see if anyone has similar thoughts in regards to the screwdriver. So I have had mine for about a week now at work and have been using it a lot on purpose to put it through its paces. Over all its an excellent tool and functionally better than my two snap on ones by a pretty wide margin but I have a couple points of feed back.

    - This sucker is slippery. The handle is too smooth in my opinion, especially if you get any kind of grease on your hand. I work in automotive so clean hands aren't a thing and I fine this to get slick real quick. Im not saying you have to go soft handle, but maybe in the future imprinting either a cross-hatch pattern or little ltt logos into the plastic or whatever just to give it a texture and something to actually grip. Also we saw similar feedback in the pop up shop video when they were trying to do the torque test so I know I am not alone

    - The shank is a little short IMO, its not bad, it just would have been a bit better imo if it was an inch to an inch an a half longer. Ive already found a couple locations where I had to bust out a different tool cause this one simply would not reach.

    - I find the handle to be a bit on the small side, HOWEVER im 6'2 and 280 lbs and have decently big hands so it might just be a problem with being in an outlier bracket when it comes to size. Maybe more average size people dont have this same problem. The girth is fine, I just would have preferred the length of the handle to be a bit more, but this might be a nitpick

With all this said I am still very happy with this product and as long as it stands up the test of time than its absolutely worth the price tag for me
