It’s literally worse than the mega pro at double the cost. The only “positive” it does have is shorter bits for magnetism which cost pennies to buy separately anyway and forces you to buy standard bits if you want to be able to use one set of bits with all tools. Personally I have a 200+ part set with around 150 bits that I use for a screwdriver or impact driver.

Also disagree with the backdrag sentiment. You don’t want a fuckton but you don’t want a tiny force either. Mainly due to durability in the mechanism. Considering the LTT had really bad movement when supposedly locked and broke fairly easily compared to the rest I would assume that’s why. This would be a massive issue down the lien as the mechanism starts to wear.

All in all they’ve made the mega pro worse and made it less durable. Well done them.

You're and idiot. There is independent testing right in front of you proving you wrong and you still act like an uneducated simpleton, good job.

They came half way down the pack in the bit retention (or whatever it's called, my stress levels are too high to rewatch!) category, which is what Linus seems to keep going on about the most though!

Ya they were 6th, but 3-6 was so close it was almost interchangeable. I think at the end of the day any thing over the 1000 mark (ltt was 1201) should have zero issue with the bits coming out of the driver and remaining with the screw, so hes not wrong in saying that the bits stay in the driver, just turns out that there are a number of drivers that wouldnt have that issue either. Once think I didnt pay attention to is are the drivers above them using the standard short  bits as well or were some of them the double sided ones or the ones where the entire shaft housed the bits because those drivers are a different level. Thats why the PB Swiss one is so impressive in that regard, for it to also use short bits and have that kinda retention is amazing.

honestly i dont even think the pb swiss should've been in the rankings at all doesn't have internal bit storage completely different tool class in my opinion or at least had points docked for it

Im actually glad it was included though. It just barely edged out the ltt driver at over double the money and as you said, no internal bit storage. But if they didnt include it than people would still talk about how its way better. At least now we have the numbers to use in comparison

  4. So LTT did very well in the testing, and it appears that every claim they made that I can recall seems to have held up as true. The only part that surprised me was that the PB did so much better than everyone else in the magnet test. But either way this should put to rest the argument that the ltt driver is an overpriced youtuber merch money grab. When you put it up against its competition it proved its value IMO

Fair enough I I'll take that hit if they do issue me a refund. The wording is mega-unclear & I assumed they were saying that since I made it back in February I would not be able to be refunded.

BUT That still doesn't excuse them still listing "tempered glass" as a component of this bundle on their site: https://dbrand.com/killswitch

Actually the paragraph about the refund is remarkable clear even explaining why they need your paypal address. BUT You are 100% correct about how its inexcusable that they dont include the tempered glass after saying it was part of the package and their reasoning for not including it is absolutely rubbish

But anyway dbrand promised that it'd come with screen protectors and it doesn't. It's extra cool cause they still have "tempered glass" as included listed on their site and "won't refund you for purchases made over 6 months ago." Last time I got f**ked this hard I was in College.

Support email I received asking about this:

They arent refusing to refund you, they are saying you need to send your paypal address to them so they can send you $3 as they cant just use the refund option as they normally would as its been over 6 months.

That's fine, but LTT caters the world, not just certain countries. Henry F. Phillips - Wikipedia

Also in general it's good to stop (exclusively) using brand names, but just use the generic names for them, but that's a whole different discussion.

Anyway from Amazon.com, so it's not just non NA countries.

Everyone of those says phillips as well, and every single one lists Phillips first. Im not saying youre wrong as much as I am saying you are splitting hairs where it shouldnt matter

Sort of unrelated, but there is a typo in the Philips bit set image, it's written with double L.

Also just an FYI, crosshead is the 'correct' term for those bits, as you surely know, Philips is a brand and plenty of people don't know these bits under the Philips, including in the country of origin.

I have never in 40 years heard them referred to anything but Philips

  9. The Samsung Fold 4 has a retail of $3000 cad according to the service provider sites, thats like double some of the iphone pro models, so if we are gonna shit on apple for their price I wanna make sure Samsung gets some love too 😉

Hey guys not sure if this has been answered before but, I currently own a Pro Tech Toolkit from iFixit, will I be able to use all of its bits with the LTT Screwdriver?

    I'd appreciate any info.

Nope, the ltt driver uses 1/4 bits, the iFix it kit is smaller, probably 1/8th?

People at my work who know I'm a fan of LTT have been texting me about this, telling me he's coming off like a douche who has no faith in his own products.

........ No they aren't. You try to say that because it makes you feel like you have more of a leg to stand on. If you wanna make a point/defend a position have at it, but dont out right lie, its easy to see through

So screwdriver is going on sale in popup tomorrow and it's launching a couple days after that according to WAN show. Have they mentioned shipping dates tho? I'm trying to get the driver shipped with the backpack to reduce on shipping packages and also shipping cost hopefully.

I dont think that is what they are aiming to do. Logistically going through and altering peoples backpack orders to add on other items might be a big undertaking. I dont work logistics so I am not sure. They did however say that anything ordered with a screwdriver would be held until the screwdriver was ready to ship to hopefully curb some of the confusion that happened with backpack orders where people paid to ship the back pack but then also paid for separate shipping on things like water bottles or tshirts that would be shipped out separate and earlier

  13. They have talked about in the past that black was the easiest blanks to get and when they were moving smaller quantity it made sense to stick to one color. But as we saw with some of the recent releases it seems like now that they are getting their own blanks made that other colors besides black are gonna be available on the regular for multiple prints. Just keep an eye out for something you like
