  1. The reason it matters is they are corsair LL fans so they only have the LED on one side, I want them lighting up the inside of the case so I want all fans on the inside of the rads not on the front. Realistically they are stupid lights so if its a bad idea I will just set one set as in and one as out. Its not that big of a deal, more just thinking outloud before I start. Im still waiting on tubing (6 weeks and counting corsair) and a gpu so Im not starting any time soon anyways
  2. Thanks, dust isnt a concern, im fine dusting weekly, maybe ill see if i can get something figured out to counteract hot spots/stale air
  3. So Im wondering, how negatively would the cooling be affected on a PC with all fans in a negative pressure layout. Ill have 2 360mm rads cooling a 5800x and either a 3080 or a 6800xt depending what I can get my hands on. I can obviously do the front rad fans as intakes and the tops as outtake, but that does hide the RGB of the front fans quite a bit. If I mount them also as outtake what kinda temp handicaps am I setting up for myself?
  4. Ive only built half a dozen computers in the last couple years. I have yet to have one fail to post. I have had some instability issues with xmp on my brothers computer trying to run ram at 3600 mhz with his 5600x but other than that no issues (knock on wood cause I have a big overhaul of my personal computer coming up)
  5. Ive actually used this case before for my brothers build but if I recall it only does a 240 at the top not a 360. Someone else mentioned the Meshify series, I would second that as its fantastic case, looks good to many, build really well and just an all around good performer. Is there a reason you dont wanna put your GPU on water?
  6. Man if I lived there I would, looks like a fun build and honestly not that hard or time consuming. Only looks like 4-5 hours to finish the loop to me then whatever it takes to actually set everything else up
  7. Is the loop only on the cpu? If so then something seems wrong, those temps are way to high for a loop I think, but maybe im wrong
  8. In my situation I am using a pump/res combo from corsair thats the size of a 140 mm fan, then a classic cylinder res as well in the loop but in theory you could use a traditional pump res combo and a stand alone res just in series in a loop
  9. Not all people use pump/res combos. I personally will be using a separate res in my next build, part of the reason is just to fill out space in my case
  10. I have big hands and currently use the dark core and I use the charging mat, I really like it, good preforming mouse
  11. I have 32 in my home PC but honestly its basically wasted. I wanted all 4 dimms filled for cosmetic reasons but Im a light user and could easily have done 16
  12. Im sorry I should have made that clear, yes they are towers running windows. And then the Mac is running mac os. Ill check out the link. Thank you
  13. Im sure this will get moved but I wasnt sure where to put this topic. I had a synology nas and it died, but I have a couple towers already running in my house and a macbook I use. What would be the easiest way to be able to set a drive in my main tower as something accessible from the other tower and the macbook? I have plex set up but im looking for something where its just a explorer window I can open and see the files just like I would on the native machine. Id also like to be able to move files between the 3 machines. Is there a program I can use to do this or am I gonna be stuck buying another stand alone NAS?
  14. Hes trying to show you how he would spend 2000, but that price for a 3080 is no where even close to reasonable, retail in canada is 1029 and we all know that finding one at retail in canada is not gonna happen
  15. That power supply is WAY WAY overkill for what you are building. Also the case doesnt really make sense based on the budget, you could get a cheaper case and a smaller power supply and be able to go to a 3070 or a 5600x and still be under your cap. Just my .02, but thats coming from a guy that is using a $500 mobo on a 220 cpu
  16. If they are on sale then I would buy, anything at retail dont bother as you may as well not buy them till you know you can get everything
  17. Apple continues to give me a reason to wait for the next gen macbook, this sounds very good
  18. I have the k95 and the dark core wireless and am looking to change so I have wireless keyboard and mouse. Logitech seems to be the move, its just tough to swallow spending $500 on a keyboard and mouse when mine work fine except for the keyboard being wired, first world problem
  19. I currently have a 212 with that ram and it doesnt interfere at all. I have 4 sticks of ram and it isnt wide enough to start interfering with the ram
  20. If you do one loop you dont need to do a second pump. BUT if I was building in that case (I almost bought it a couple times lol) I would do 2 loops strictly from a cosmetic standpoint. That case looks really good with 2 complete loops in it but its definitely a big expenditure for no performance gain, its almost completely cosmetic
  21. Not sure that motherboard is necessary for your build, what was your reasoning for choosing that specific board?
