  1. I might be over thinking things since I have the cooler and gpu still in there, once I remove the cooler from the cpu and gpu it will open up quite a bit id bet, I just had concerns about what I was gonna be dealing with once I have the 30mm rad in the top as well
  2. Ok, so I currently have a define R6 which I definitely like. Last night I started laying out my loop and I’m thinking I might have some space issues in regards to being able to bend my tubes. I attached a picture to put things in perspective. So what’s not in the picture is the block for my gpu and cpu as I’m still using this computer while waiting for tubing to come in, but both will be getting blocks. Also I have a 30mm 360 rad coming for the top. I also know that having the second res is completely unnecessary but I like the look and am determined to keep it. So with all that being said are there any options you all can think of that might give me a bit more space to work in without jumping all the way up to an obsidian 1000 or similar?
  3. Id bank on it being a PSU issue, and if you want a really basic but solid board look at like a Gigabyte B450 AORUS M. They are like $100 Canadian so if you are in the states you should be able to find one for like $80. Its not "future proof" by any means but with what you are currently running it would be a solid board. As for a PSU just find something that is name brand, AT LEAST bronze rated efficiency and 500 watts or higher.
  4. PSU first, mobo second is the route I would go
  5. In my last build I used one of their cpu blocks and Ive used a ton of their fittings and have always been happy but as for the rads and pumps I have no experience, sorry man
  6. Honestly man there is no secret storage room where they are hiding. You just have to keep checking web sites, keep checking the used market, maybe put out some WTB ads yourself but in reality its just gonna be a tough go.
  7. Im fine with bundles as long as the product they are bundling makes sense. Bundling a 3080 with a 650 watt PSU would not be acceptable in my eyes being they recommend a higher wattage supply for that card, bundling one with an 850 watt one is fine. Would I prefer people just be allowed to buy the parts individually, sure, i think most consumers would prefer that. But do I understand why they are doing it and do I know they are well within their rights to? Also yes.
  8. If thats an option for you I would 100% go that route.
  9. Ok ya so you are kinda inbetween a rock and a hard place, you are gonna have to give up something. Either you need to put up with elevated noise or elevated temps. You arent gonna achieve both without a major overhaul of some kind. Like if you did a custom loop with a 360 up front and a 280 up top then you might be able to lower the fan speeds enough to get the noise down to an acceptable level and still get the clock speeds you want, but 5.0 on a 5800 all core is just gonna produce heat, no way around that and just switching to a 420 isnt gonna solve your problem
  10. Also did you try removing the solid metal panel from the top and just leave the filter on, if you do that and put a couple fans up there that will help with your airflow/cooling as well
  11. Can you put 3 more fans on your 360 to make it push pull? That might help you. I have the R6 as well and I dont think you are fitting a 420 with standard config
  12. Man if i had a 3080 id trade you in a second but I was only able to get my hands on a 6800. Where are you located in the world? That card should be very easy to move to anyone who is looking to do water cooling. Id rather get a preinstalled water block than strapping one on myself. As for the cost to set up a loop it all depends on what you consider to be a lot of money but all you need in your situation is a 240-280mm rad, a couple fans and a pump/res combo and some tubing and fittings. Although if you are gonna do a loop for the GPU you might wanna do the CPU as well since you are already going that route. List your specs for what you have including your case and we might be able to help you out
  13. About the only thing you would have problems with would be 8k, for everything else you are still in great shape
  14. Third Party Cards, they had Gigabyte, MSI and Asus in stock
  15. Funny that thats what you found. Up here in Canada at Memory Express which is our closest thing to a microcenter AMD cards have been FAR easier to get a hold of and are selling for about MSRP. Now I assume the reason why its easier is because they backordered way more Nvidea cards for customers so when they get shipments they are already spoken for where as AMD cards being less popular have less backorders but still, I was able to walk in to one a couple days ago and get my 6800 for CAD MSRP
  16. Not actually sure yet, I put it in just to test the thing but I havent done much with it yet
  17. Thank You sir, I didnt think to look at other countries sites, I appreciate the help.
  18. So Im currently looking for a new big monitor to replace my 75hz ultrawide. I know that the 48 inch CX was widely praised by LTT and the new C1 model is out so im considering using that. I use my computer for more video consumption than I do gaming but when I game I want a great experience. I went through the specs on this tv but didnt see a refresh rate listed, maybe im blind or maybe because its an OLED is not measured? No idea but if anyone has insight it would be very appreciated. Thanks
  19. I bought a 5800x but will probably upgrade to am5 provided it doesnt have launch issues
  20. Having color wont in itself change the temps one little bit but depending on the kind of additives you add to achieve the color if they start clogging blocks and such than it absolutely will cause a change in temp. Colors are cool and fun but at the end of the day I would suggest using clear water and then use RGB to achieve color in your build if you are going for that
  21. Dude, 11 months? Really think this needed to be bumped?
  22. Uh hes probably not gonna see this, but the only thing you can do in this case is continue to deal with their customer support team directly. A youtuber who got a sponsorship from them will not be able to help you, this has zero to do with them
  23. Picked up this guy today from Memory Express. Took a picture of it beside my rtx2060 lol. Just a bit bigger. Ordered the EK water block today and now I'm just waiting for the damn tubing to come in and I can start building my loop, getting excited
  24. Im in Canada and uninstalled it after a year plus, never has it worked to save me anything. Im very interested to know what sites it IS saving people on
  25. Lol ya, like its not a big deal, also not my first open loop system, might actually have another idea but ill have to play around with some things to figure out if it will work, stay tuned
