  1. Its certainly not ideal if that is a wide spread issue. Ive dropped mine a few times on the cement floor in my shop this week and so far its no worse for wear, but Im also talking a sample size of one here. I guess in the next few months as more make their way into the wild we will see if they hold up. It should be mentioned though that Jay apparently likes it as hes been using it in his videos since hes gotten it and I dont think hes taking behind the scenes money to have it in his videos lol

  2. Just throwing this up here to see if anyone has similar thoughts in regards to the screwdriver. So I have had mine for about a week now at work and have been using it a lot on purpose to put it through its paces. Over all its an excellent tool and functionally better than my two snap on ones by a pretty wide margin but I have a couple points of feed back.

     

    - This sucker is slippery. The handle is too smooth in my opinion, especially if you get any kind of grease on your hand. I work in automotive so clean hands aren't a thing and I fine this to get slick real quick. Im not saying you have to go soft handle, but maybe in the future imprinting either a cross-hatch pattern or little ltt logos into the plastic or whatever just to give it a texture and something to actually grip. Also we saw similar feedback in the pop up shop video when they were trying to do the torque test so I know I am not alone

     

    - The shank is a little short IMO, its not bad, it just would have been a bit better imo if it was an inch to an inch an a half longer. Ive already found a couple locations where I had to bust out a different tool cause this one simply would not reach.

     

    - I find the handle to be a bit on the small side, HOWEVER im 6'2 and 280 lbs and have decently big hands so it might just be a problem with being in an outlier bracket when it comes to size. Maybe more average size people dont have this same problem. The girth is fine, I just would have preferred the length of the handle to be a bit more, but this might be a nitpick

     

    With all this said I am still very happy with this product and as long as it stands up the test of time than its absolutely worth the price tag for me

    This is not something in LTT 's control, as said above this is something you need to contact the courier about

    Ya see this is where im clearly making a mistake, when I ran the windows troubleshooter thats what installed the generic driver as far as I can tell. I did a ddu uninstall then reinstalled the nvidia driver but then I still end up with this stupid generic driver. I never saw a place to "check" HDMI audio on. And I have not tried to use the onboard audio as well as the HDMI audio yet, I just said that could technically be a solution, just not an ideal one. I will try again tomorrow to DDU and reinstall and see if that helps me out.

  5. I think this thread is a perfect example of why a wallet might not be the best product to produce for LTT. Seems like its somewhat regional based. As a Canadian all our bills are the same size and while we do still have coins I cant tell you the last time I have seen a mens wallet that held coins actually being used by anyone I know, and even when i was shopping for a wallet last year I cant recall even noticing any for sale. I wouldnt buy one that held coins personally. Where as it sounds like a lot of the Europeans have a use for the coin compartment and have differently sized bills. Kinda sounds like a logistic nightmare and a recipe for people complaining that the wallet doesn't perfectly suit their specific countries needs

  6. Any ideas at all? Its about once every 48 hours on average but sometimes the audio breaks a few times a night, always fixed after reinstalling the "generic audio driver". I should have mentioned in the OP that I am on windows 10. Also I am now running into am audio receiver through HDMI and the issue remains. I could do optical but than I can do Atmos off the home theatre PC, Id have to stream though PLEX to do it, which technically I could do but still isnt fixing the route issue

  7. Ya my comment on shipping was based on the weight of the product, not the actual size as I was assuming you were referring to a small hand held size box. Either way IF they were gonna venture down that road I think a tool bag would be far more likely, its lighter, easier to pack and ship and cheaper to manufacture.

  8. @Neroonya I get what you mean, my point was that to someone whos not an enthusiast that company may not be as well known as it might seem to you, in the same way an LTT bag outside this consumer base also isnt a well known thing. If you get a thief who knows cameras than like you said that Lowepro bag is gonna make you a target, in the same way a thief who knows what LTT is might be more likely to go after an LTT bag but over all in both cases Im not sure a bag would be a giveaway to a run of the mill individual

    Remove it if you don't like it, but I don't ever see it helping with it not getting stolen.

    Ive been in retail for 22 years now, always in big box atmospheres and I have fired numerous customers. Ill bend over backwards to help you out but the second you turn into a nightmare bitch or become abusive to my staff Ill bounce you out the door and you'll never be welcomed back. And where I am is a suburb of a city so if you cant come to my store than you have to go into the city for another option and people definitely don't like that. Also this is a well off community so the sense of entitlement often runs high

    I didn't think it would be a tight timeline to hit, I live in Canada, I've had stuff show up in 3 days from shipping from LTT before 

    Ya im in Alberta and in the past when Ive ordered its been quite quick but at this point with the current state of their shipments I certainly wouldnt bank on it, but my fingers are crossed for you

    The worst part, I bought a Wave 4 screwdriver with a black driver once I realized they were going going to be a limited run, as a Xmas gift...didnt know that this would be a tight deadline to hit.

    Ya I mean according to the site the "ESTIMATED" ship time for a black shaft in wave 4 is december 20th, I cant see that being to you in time for xmas

    If the product is in bad shape you should definitely email pictures of it to support to see what can be done, and you can always leave feedback on the store page if you arent happy with the product. Its helpful feedback for the team to know that these arent arriving in good shape. Maybe their packaging needs a second look as I know someone else on this board had a damaged handle on arrival.

    You are the angriest community member on this board I have ever interacted with and seem to have a very entitled way of carrying yourself. Like if everything isnt perfect for you and up to your standards and done the way you think it should be its instantly wrong and warrants burning the world down. Maybe you need to calm down a bit and be open to conversation as opposed to being of the mind set that your way is the only way things should ever be done

  15. I think I should clarify an error on my part, they didnt do a good job of informing people at the start of the delay. It WAS talked about on WAN show (which I watch every week) before the launch that when they decided to do the black shaft as a limited run it would be a longer wait as it wasnt going to be a regularly stocked sku but as @Alex T88pointed out that information was listed with the word "may" on the store site as opposed to "will" which is definitely what the wording should have been. With that said I guess maybe Im cynical but if I see something listed as "may be delayed" I just assume it WILL be, but thats not a leap you should count on your customer making. Also they cant assume that every shopper will watch every WAN show and pick up on that information. As I said I still think that the wording was enough for most people to KNOW therr would be a delay but @Alex T88isnt wrong either. And we both agree on the communication being subpar, I mean they have their own forum that they could utilize and seem to choose not to, and with Twitter becoming more and more of a dumpster fire saying "tweet Nick Light" is a bad suggestion

    In my personal opinion, it doesnt matter if they gave a warning or not. 
    Linus should have kept it in his pants for a few months longer instead of creating this clusterfuck because he was anxious about the money. 
    They shouldnt have handled it like this. They should have stockpiled a few ten thousands and released it on november first maybe, or something around this time period. Nothing for me either. I'm in wave 3, i got an email that delivery stuff was updated, and i live in Europe, so at this rate im lucky to get this fkin thing in january, something i paid money for in 4 hours of it launching.

    Yes i was warned, but the way they handled it is stupid nonetheless and it shouldnt have gone like this.

    Totally disagree, people were informed of this upfront, warnings were given that things like black shaft variants would be delayed and it was up to the consumer if they wanted to order something that was on backorder or wait till later when it becomes available as a regularly stocked product. This is not a new process in commerce. What I will fault them for is not updating the customers in a timely fashion, they IMO dropped the ball there. But as for opening up the products for backorder a lot of the community was calling for it, so the listened. If you werent comfortable with that than that is totally understandable and your choice, but you chose to order anyways, so this is what you signed up for, even if you wanna say now that its not. 

  17. @nicklmg@LinusTechThe OP isnt unreasonable here, some kind of pinned post keeping the community apprised of the delays and current projected times would probably do wonders to cut down on support tickets and would certainly go a long way in restoring faith in the shop, because based on this section of the message board it appears as though you are upsetting a lot of customers based on little to no communication.
