  1. Hello, i am looking for a pc that will cost around $700-800 Canadian Dollars, please help me find one, thanks!
  2. I'm stuck on which camera I should purchase, either the Lumix G7 or the Canon Sl2/200d, the af on the sl2 is great and it's especially better when using it on my steadicam and not being able to use the manual focus when moving, the g7 is also a good camera especially with its 4k feature with its price point. I will be doing filmaking and I'm stuck on what camera I shall pick, I recently broke my camera so I'm looking into buying a new camera.

I wanted a i7 8700k for faster rendering times and better optimization for premiere pro.
  4. This is the pc I've whipped up on Pc part picker, be mindful all currency must be in CAD dollars since I live in Canada, here is the pc part picker list- https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/zk8Fhy I was thinking in either getting a Corsair H60 or a Noctua Dh15, I wanted a cpu cooler that would last a while and was reliable and would be able to oc my cpu 4.8 ghz steady or even 5ghz if I can, I didnt know what to pick so I just left it as an h60, help me decide what cooler i should get and if there's any parts I should change. MY USES FOR PC AND BUDGET I use Vegas pro 15 mainly and use After Effects for special effects and stuff. It can at least do some light gaming, and 4k video editing when i need to my budget is 1600 and the pc I have is close to it, taxes will surpass the budget but there may be changes. My main settings for video is 1080p 60fps.
  5. My maximum weight of the laptop is around 7 pounds.
  6. Well in Canadian Dollars its 1800 dollars so I'm not buying that, I think I might go for the ACER ROG STRIX SCAR EDITION GL503GE-ES73 Laptop, if the price dips down to 1100 cad dollars.
  7. It can weigh about 4 pounds or more and can have at least have 5 hours of battery life when video editing.
  8. Well I dont really want a macbook tho... sorry I didnt list that.
  9. Hello, my name is Charles and I have been using my Sony Vaio BPCEB3TFX Laptop for over 2 years now video editing, I have come to realize that my laptop cannot handle high intensive effects on Vegas Pro 14 and Premiere Pro, so i;m looking to buy a laptop that is fit for my video editing needs. My current budget is around a $1000, the laptop must be able to handle Vegas Pro 14 very well and renders 1-minute videos at 1 minute or more, it must also at least handle Premiere Pro well, and if it can, also handle After Effects pretty well too. I'm currently going into filmmaking and that's why I need a laptop so that I can bring it with me during my trips. I was leaning towards the Acer Nitro 5 I5-8th gen 256gb SSD model, but I don't really know if I should get that laptop or not, I need more options, I was looking at an ASUS ROG STRIX GL503GE-ES73 but that's way over my budget by $650 plus taxes. It has to have an i5-8th gen processor nothing lower than that, and at least a GTX 1050ti because ill also do a little light gaming. The screen has to be at least color accurate since I make posters on photoshop. My must-have specs on the laptop I5-8TH Gen, nothing lower than that. MUST HAVE A GPU, NO INTEL INTEGRATED GRAPHICS. 16GB DDR4 RAM or at least have 2 ram slots so I can upgrade it to 16gb An SSD, 128gb or more. ALL PRICES MUST BE IS CAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 If you're able to help me in this situation, please do and thanks!
  10. Well on pcpartpicker I managed to whip up a i7 8700k with Team Vulcan 16gb ddr4 ram 120gb m.2 ssd for my os system and some main programs, a noctua NH-U9S cpu cooler, cooler master 550 watt 80plus bronze semi modular psu, asus prime z370-A, 3 Arctic F12 120mm case fans, In win 101 case, a Zotac Gtx 1050ti, arctic high density polysenthetic silver thermal paste. Well that would cost around 1300-1400 excluding taxes so if I count taxes so, amount x 1.13 would be around 1500 plus the shipping then 1600, well you're right, for now I'll buy a used Gtx 1060ti, and buy a new i5 8600k, I'll be upgrading the parts from time to time, so I won't get the GPU instantly, I guess I'll just get the asus z370-a with the I5-8600k or if I want the ryzen 5 1600x with noctua NH-U9S 4x2 8gb ram and add another 4x2 8gb ram later on, m.2 adata 128gb ssd, in win 101 case, 3 arctic f12 120mm fans, cooler master 550watt psu and get upgraded for it later on, since my parents cant afford the actual pc rn since they have to pay a lot of expenses, I'll just wait prob 1/2-2 years getting the pc, so prices drop as well. Thanks for your effort on helping me!
  11. Hello! My name is Charles, I'm 12 and is a currently trying to be a filmmaker and a editor, I use Vegas Pro 14 for my editing software, and whenever using effects, on my clips like... color correction, chroma key, transitions and many more have seem to lag a lot during preview, so I have to watch the footage frame by frame, and when rendering takes about 2-3 hours for 1080p 30fps footage, and when using warp stabalizer on my footage using pr since I don't have a steadicam yet for my dslr, it takes about 20 minutes for a 10 sec clip. I use a Sony Vaio Vpce series laptop, intel integrated graphics, 4gb ddr3 ram and an i3 370m. I am hoping to see if I can build a new pc mainly for visual editing and a little light gaming. MY CURRENT BUDGET: $1000-$1200 Programs I mainly want to use Premiere Pro CC and After Effects CC Vegas Pro 14 Photoshop CC Blender(maybe idk) Components I wish to have in the pc Cpu I7-8700k Noctua NH-U9S (I want to over clock to at least 4.8ghz) 16GB ram ddr3 ram Some type of m.2 ssd at least under 40 like the ADATA 128gb m.2 ssd Asus Z370-A Mother Board And any type of Gpu above the 1050ti or Radeon rx 580 something at least under 150 or I might just buy a used 1050ti ALL PRICES SHOULD BE IN CAD SINCE I LIVE IN CANADA!!!!!! Hope you can help me find the components I can get for my pc, thanks!
