  1. I'll go and try that again I'll let you know if it works.
  2. Before I began I'm sorry if I put this in the wrong forum topic I didn't know which one! So I'm trying to run this minecraft server file, but its not a start.command. I downloaded it for a mod-pack on Technic Launcher. It says to launch either start.bat or start.sh. I tried both but didn't work. Do I have to do something with terminal like { chmod a+x }? Thanks
  3. Yes but they can only handle 500 mbps so I either can set them up or get them replaced since they put in the air ties I was told it was optional to set them back up
  4. I cant turn off the wifi on the att router because the then the basement wouldnt have a wifi signal since the access points are only on the 2nd and 3rd floor. Heres what I was thinking. Ill get the AP configured and setup since they are directly PoE wired into the router. I wire in a switch for the ports around the house. Ill wire in my Desktop and all the TV's since they are smart would I get a strong wifi signal through out the house?
  5. I have 2 ubitquity access points and I know I wont be able to get gigabit over wifi but would it be best to have those setup they are currently not configured to my new att router since i change my isp so I havent setup the ubitquity access points that are on my celing yet since AT&T installed those air-ties. Would you recommend I set them up? The Acess points are hard wired in directly to the router Edit: Would the access points extend the coverage of the wifi?
  6. Hello Everyone! Happy Easter! I'm working on wiring my home. I have a basement and 2 other floors so 3 floors total ( including the basement ). I recently got my home wired with AT&T Gigabit Fiber internet. I need help with home wifi coverage. AT&T installed their Air-ties mesh system and put 2 in my home and i noticed speeds struggle on the top floor. The basement is where the router is located, one on my first floor, and then another one on the second floor so 2 in total. I have ethernet ports around my home and are wired into a patch panel. I am going to be installing a large switch to make all the ports around the house active to wire in the TV's and my computer. But since the house is 5350+ square feet. I want to have gigabit internet through out the house over WiFi but Im stuck figuring out what to put in. What access points should I use? Do i need a better mesh system? I was looking into a Ubiquity switch and their instant amplify access point any feedback of what i should do is extreme appreciated. Thanks! - K
  7. yeah its is pointless I agree you a extremely powerful CPU paired with a consumer level entry level graphics card consider a 1080 TI or a 2080
  8. Since your on a budget I would recommend going with Nikon`s DX line of cropped sensors cause of your budget it might be hard to afford a FX (full-frame) I prefer nikon because their technology in their cameras is most up to date. If your looking for good photos and video I recommend the D7500 with 8 FPS very high iso, and 20.8 megapixels. If the D7500 is out of budget I would also recommend a D5600. Since ur looking at camera under 400 which is about 300 USD. I would say your only real option from nikon is the D3500 which is still a good camera but if you can expand your budget and go with a D5600 or D7500 I would go for it since these camera last a very long time and are most of the time very good cameras after years of use if you can go with the D7500 you can also go with a D750 FX full frame but that means you would need a FX full frame lens. If you have any further questions please private message me via linustechtips forum I be glad to help! Canon is also good but their technology is mostly out of date on their camera compared to Nikon, like the sensor, memory card, and some other things. Sony is also a good brand for DSLR but I would go Nikon if you can!
  9. I have decided to go with the Nikon D750 instead of the D7500 because of the full-frame sensor providing less noise and grain, 4 more megapixels (which isn't much), and speed. I plan to shoot sports like basketball, football, soccer, baseball the basic sports. Im not super familiar with Nikkor lenses and the abbreviation but I am very familiar with the Nikon Cameras. I also want to shoot simple photography like up-close portraits, like weddings photos at some point I will put a nice speedlight on it. I just want some feedback on if I will be able to shoot sports with clear and sharp images. This is the link to the lens I plan to put on it: https://goo.gl/KK1d7B Thanks in advanced for all the feedback you provide! Thanks - Aero
  10. Is their going to be a difference between the Expeed 5 and Expeed 4 cause the D750 has a Expeed 4 and the Expeed 5 is on the 7500
  11. Ok so go with the D750 really the only thing I'm missing out on is a touch screen but i mean i can live without haha and im also gaining an extra sd slot as well as a larger better sensor alrighty thank you
  12. I torn between going with the D750 and the D7500 I want the D750 because of the Full-Frame sensor and the D7500 has a cropped DX sensor. The iso is way higher on the D7500 (native) but on the D750 it goes to 12,800 (native) and can be pushed to 51,200 in Hi-2. The D7500 will go in High-2 to 164,000,000 which is ridiculous Would I notice any huge difference except for the Full-Frame sensor? Which one do you think is better? Also I know the D7500 can shoot 4K UHD and the D750 is 1080p but I do not intend on using this camera for video recording at all Please let me know which one you would pick
  13. Im new to this forum but I need feedback on this. The mushkin NVMe has very fast read and write but the read speed is about 1GB I have heard of Mushkin but is it a reliable drive to put on my computer for booting? Here is the article with benchmarks https://www.tweaktown.com/articles/8704/mushkin-pilot-nvme-ssd-review-american-sm2262/index.html Merry Christmas! - Aero1010
