Would you have a recommendation on which memory I could look into getting, or is it just looking for the 2400MHz spec? Just wanna make sure I do this right with it being a somewhat older system after a few years of having it. Thank you for your help btw.

I’m trying to see if I can upgrade the mentioned laptop in the title with new or more memory, and which kind should I be getting or using? My friend had some Corsair Vengeance 32gb (16x2) 2666MHz memory and we placed it in the laptop in place of the stock 8gb stick (8gb 1rx8 pc4-2400t-sa1-11) that it came with. After placing the new ones in we started the laptop and it started blue screening and running through “repair services” with a bunch of random stop codes including a memory one. I’m pretty sure it’s not the right speed or it won’t work because of the speed the memory is, but is the mentioned memory from Corsair not able to used, if so which should I look into using or getting? Budget friendly if possible. Thanks!

Browsed for a bit on the forum but wasn't coming across any answers, so the question is... I've got a new PC, and my old ssd from my 3yr old PC is where I have all my game files and saves. The operating system for it though is Windows 10 Pro, the new PC is Windows 10 Home. Will there be an issue if I plug that ssd into the new PC? Hopefully that explains the question, but if more details are needed let me know. Thanks for the help

I was thinking of a RAM upgrade, with the current RAM in the list above would I be able to up that to 32gb? Also, right now the problem I am having is I have two monitors (the one listed above) and when I have a game like Skyrim SE or any other game, even say like World of Warcraft open on one, and Youtube open on the other, Youtube freezes or lags behind and defaults back to 360 or 480p resolution. I haven't been able to run youtube in 1080p with just surfing the net since building. Would that go with a GPU upgrade?

So my current build is the list below (except for the video card which is the 4gb instead of the 8gb), the hard drive I have is the 2 TB version. For now I would say about a $300-$500 budget, I would like to stay with radeon graphics, less hassle with having to reinstall everything right now, just not sure where to start. So I opened the case and looked at the motherboard pins, according to the book that came with it and I have the pins hooked up correctly. Still no power after that, even with trying the screwdriver trick I got nothing. Does that maybe mean a dead psu? Or could there be something else wrong. EDIT: Nubcake update.. So everything runs and turns on. Seems I plugged the above mentioned pins into the wrong pins. The front panel pins don't go into the COM1 pins on the motherboard, but the ones that are actually labeled in tiny letters that they go there... Yes I kicked myself hard. So It's been awhile since I built a computer and this build listed below is me getting my feet wet in the pc building world again. Only problem is, its sitting next to me not turning on. Everything is hooked up in its right place on the motherboard, cables are hooked into the right area's for everything, but when I plug the power cord into the power supply and flip the switch, I press the power button on the case and nothing happens. No fan spinning, no indicator lights, nothing... I'm at a lose on what it could be, I need more friends who can help me with this stuff lol. Just wondering if maybe someone could point me in a direction on what to check. (I would do the paperclip trick with the power supply but all the wires are black so I don't know which ones to try) Thanks in advance.
