  1. Hi, just bought a new RX 6700 Xt Red Devil Edition, the two 8 pin connectors it has have a different orientation than my old 1080 ti, pictures uploaded for examples, Before powering it on for first time, making sure it’s safe to do so, just feels like plugging connectors in upside down isn’t the best idea haha The little plastic triangles are ontop for the 1080 ti and bottom for the 6700 xt so i’m assuming it’s correct orientation to plug it in that way,
  2. SPECS : CPU : Ryzen 7 2700x GPU : Zotac 1080 TI AMP Extreme PSU : Aorus P850W RAM : G.SKILL RIPJAWS 2X8GB 3200MHZ MOTHERBOARD : MSI CARBON PRO AC B450 PLUS Hi, i went ahead and sold my 1070 ti and bought a USED 1080 ti off a guy, i gave it a test through furmark & OCCT before i bought it, all was clear, However i was using a 550w psu (which i used for the 1070 ti) so the games would crash, i assumed fully it wasn't supplying enough power as even 3dmark would crash instantly when launched, went ahead and upgraded to a 850W PSU, after more testing, turns out 3DMARK still crashes and games are now crashing every few minutes on stock settings on this thing, After significant testing i've tested all my components and tried it in another pc, i've found out that the instability is caused primarily by the memory clocks, downclocking it to around -700 and increasing the power limit to 120% completely stabilizes the card, 3dmark firestrike extreme can run fully with no issues as well as no game crashes, I spoke to the guy that sold it to me, he fully responded and told me it was working for him completely just before he pulled it out of his pc and upgraded to a new card, Take that with a grain of salt, but if he was a scammer, he wouldn't respond to me at all i'd think, Now OBVIOUSLY i can't RMA the card, as it's out of the warranty period, i can't sell it & the guy most likely won't take it back and refund me, so my options are to make this thing work, Memory clock dosen't affect performance all that much at all so i'm happy about that, happy i can make it stable, i'm just worried that in the future the VRAM chips may degrade further and cause complete gpu instability, My only guess for this is the 550W PSU i hooked the card up to and tested on games must have slightly damaged the VRAM chips, as the guy said himself he had no issues with crashing and he ran it at STOCK speeds, What are my best options here? will the vram possibly die soon? what do you guys think?
  3. wow i feel like an idiot, didn't even think to check the faq, didn't think they'd have it on there, man, thanks.
  4. Hi i've gone ahead and bought these speakers, R1700BTs - Edifier Australia Edifier R1700BTS I've found an old subwoofer, the Pioneer S-HS50, it's a powered 100w sub, only has one audio input (rca), phase 0, 180 & volume knob Was thinking of hooking it up to my r1700bts's as they are much better with a proper subwoofer Now i'm wondering how to accomplish this, i've seen people talking about Y splitters, but will that work? The pioneer sub is from a 5.1 channel speaker setup, there's no manual online or any specs that i could find about it. Anyone got any ideas on how to get this functional? Also the subwoofer dosen't have a crossover knob, will that be an issue?
  5. I'm running into exactly the same problem, i'm using an msi carbon pro ac b450 motherboard with onboard intel ac 9260 Just upgraded my internet to 100mbps and the intel card can only get 45-47mbps consistently, on speed tests it WILL NOT go over 45-47mbps, on downloads with internet download manager it will not go over 6.2-6.3mbps speeds. I've messed with the settings in the device manager, looked through it all, i've updated my bios, downgraded the driver version to msi's recommended version on the support page of my motherboard + used the latest by intel, nothing works. Meanwhile in my laptop with a dell 1510 wireless card, i'm able to get speeds up to 12-16mbps wildly, which is shocking, considering the ac-9260 is meant to be far better. At first i thought it was the router, switched it out to a really good one with great range, same issue, even putting my computer RIGHT NEXT to the modem gets the same speeds. My guess is it's the integrated ac-9260 on the motherboard, as i doubt normal 9260's have this problem.
  6. Specs : CPU : Ryzen 7 2700x GPU : GTX 1060 6GB OC MOBO : MSI GAMING CARBON PRO AC B450 RAM : 2x8GB 3200MHZ DDR4 Hello, i'm looking into getting a blu-ray drive for my computer to play blu-rays off of, been doing some research and there's quite a few ways to get past the protection on the discs, However my motherboard uses ALC1220 soundcard, nowhere online or on powerdvd's website does it mention support for it, does anyone know if it would work ? Also, regarding blu-ray drive on computer, would bluetooth work with it?
  7. Update on this post if anyone runs into this issue, for me it was down to my second (60hz) monitor being the issue. Turns out mixing 75hz g-sync + 60hz normal monitors causes my gsync to act out, and black out when launching games.
  8. Smart response has off, fast, faster & fastest
  9. I honestly don't know, i updated my nvidia drivers and disabled and re-enabled g-sync, i'll see how it goes, hopefully it's fixed.
  10. That and alot of good monitors come with free-sync / g-sync compatible and not dedicated g-sync chips. I don't think it's about the GPU, i mean my monitor isn't extensively tested with g-sync, it's on the g-sync compatible list, meaning any issues could pop up like the ones i've been experiencing, especially the lower framerate i gotta tab out to fix.
  11. Maybe what's happening here is when loading up certain games, like 7d2d + COD WW2, an issue happens with g-sync and tabbing out, i've noticed it a few times whereas the framerate is MUCH lower, tabbing out fixes it immediately. I'm guessing sometimes when launching, the game's on such a low framerate range below g-sync that it causes major lines and blacks out.
  12. Exactly, g-sync works but i'm assuming the flickering is due to the range
  13. I went ahead and checked out the manual, installed the software, and checked the OSD when ONLY a hdmi was plugged in, and only a Displayport, absolutely no free-sync option avaliable. FYI i only have One HDMI port and One Displayport + vga.
