    so I figured it out.
    The reason this is happening is because the retailer, somehow weakened the three little plastic pillars holding the control chip to the membrane before selling the board to me.
     
    somehow the board managed to stay together but eventually gave way.
    This is why i gradually lost connection. I was planning for a custom shroud anyways so this works nicely

    I tried soldering once.....
    Let's just say I'm not touching a soldering iron for a while now ?
    Also, since then I found a way to silence my louder, larger (and more comfortable) mouse without soldering.

    I mean I don't expect anything too much from cheap mice, but then again I don't really care too much about sensors I just want a silent mouse that can fit in my palm.
    That being said the second one seems like a great choice.
