    CPU Choice

She manages a small company and has many responsibilities, so she is constantly multitasking, so i need something that can handle having many large documents open. she will be running 3 monitors for productivity sakes

I have always been against pre-builts as you can usually get much more value by building yourself

    CPU Choice

I am aware that the 980 is complete overkill, but i dont need it anymore so i figured at least put it to good use. But thank you, i completely overlooked the 2400g, as i mentioned im horrible with cpu's especially on the amd side of things

    CPU Choice

So i'm building a budget PC for my mom and i'm not so good with cpus. The pc will be used for little to no gaming, mostly programs like word and excel, some workstation use. I can't decide if the ryzen 3 2200g would suffice or if i should go with the ryzen 5 2600 or if i should change completely and go intel with the build. This is what i have so far PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant Type Item Price CPU AMD - Ryzen 5 2600 3.4 GHz 6-Core Processor $164.99 @ Amazon Motherboard MSI - B450I GAMING PLUS AC Mini ITX AM4 Motherboard $122.00 @ Amazon Memory Corsair - Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 Memory $119.99 @ Amazon Storage Samsung - 860 Evo 250 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive $57.99 @ Amazon Storage Seagate - Barracuda 1 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive $42.05 @ Amazon Video Card NVIDIA - GeForce GTX 980 4 GB Video Card Case Fractal Design - Define Nano S Mini ITX Desktop Case $71.68 @ Newegg Power Supply Corsair - CXM 550 W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply $39.99 @ Newegg Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts Total (before mail-in rebates) $638.69 Mail-in rebates -$20.00 Total $618.69 Generated by PCPartPicker 2019-02-22 19:55 EST-0500 The budget is $650 but i would like to stay closer to $600. Monitor choice

Agreed, nice post, thank you for all the information, so if im trying to take full advantage of a monitors refresh rate i should go 1440p or ultrawide 1440p, but if i want more eye candy and can deal with not 100+ fps in every game then go 4k?

    Monitor choice

I'm going to be building a system in May with a 9900k and dual 2080ti's but i cant decide what res to play at. Should i do 1080p 240hz, 1440p 144hz, ultrawide 1440p 144z or 4k 120hz. Please help!

    Which GPU Should I Pick

My budget is $600 dollars and i'm trying to decide whether or not to save money to get another ssd or not. I'm stuck between getting an RTX 1060 or RTX 2070. Please help I currently have a 980 paired with a 6700k and 32gb of ram so im not worried in either of those aspects

    Help me pick a monitor

I'm going to be building a new PC very soon with enough power to push just about any resolution, I need some help pick out monitors. No budget, i would like 2560x1440 monitor recommendations and 3440x1440 monitor recommendation, atleast 144hz. I would go 4k but monitor prices for 4k are ridiculous.

    Yes i have tried that

    My mic wont work

No, i can press push-to-talk and it will register but nobody can hear me, i have muted and unmuted and tried resetting defaults. The mic will only work if the headset is off
  15. HatersKing

    My mic wont work

I have tried that, it’ll even work in teamspeak, discord, Skype, etc. Just not in game. Even if I have the correct defaults for steam and in game it won’t capture my audio
