  1. My Sceptre IPS 24” Gaming Monitor (E248B-FPT168) is not detecting my signal from my desktop. I have a rtx 3070 and it is working via displayport just fine on my primary monitor. When I plug the displayport from my primary to the sceptre it doesn't detect. I tried HDMI and displayport from my GPU to the sceptre, it doesn't detect. I tried new cord and it did not work. It works when connecting HDMI to my laptop. This problem seems to be the GPU just not picking up the sceptre signal? I updated drivers so I do not know what else to do to figure it out?

  2. I have tried 2 USB 3.0 switches and when it is connected to my desktop there is no problem. However, when I connect to my HP laptop sometimes the signal drops on the mouse/keyboard. It seems to be a problem on this laptop but I cannot change it since it is a work laptop. Any suggestions on new USB switcher or can the problem not be fixed that way?

  3. I was looking to spend less than $250 for a usb c dock for an HP laptop. I need pass through charging (at least 65 watt), 2 usb A ports, hdmi port, displayport, and a mic/audio input.

Anker 565 hub was causing me problems so anything that will work. Any recommendations?

  4. I am trying to get a gray model in the US. I see that places like UK or Canada has one for sale (which I assume Amazon is the best method to obtain one of those?) but would that be a different keyboard? If that is the case, how hard would it be to change the keyboard keys or is there another place that sells a US QWERTY keyboard that is also eclipse gray?

  5. I am looking for a new laptop that is lightweight and 14 inches or less that can also play games such as madden and warzone. I would definitely lean more portability/size than trying to squeeze fps out. The ideal budget is less than $1600 but can be flexible. Needs a webcam and charge via usb C. A screen refresh rate higher than 60 and it would be nice to have touchscreen. It would be ideal if it had some upgradability/repairability. Any suggestions that are coming out this year or is some older generation laptop worth getting that would last a while?

Where are you shopping / located?

What ram are you using and why are you considering a Noctua cooler?

I am looking at amazon or newegg us, and I use Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO 16GB. I just hear Noctua has the best coolers.

When does it shut off?  During games and benchmarking or completely randomly?

It only happened one time and nothing was running. The other times is when I go into hibernate it wont turn back on.

  8. The most recent upgrade I had was RTX 3070 a couple months ago and have been running fine for a while now. Sometimes all of a sudden my pc will shut off and the motherboard light will be the only thing on but it will not switch on. Most of the time it is fine for the day but then the next morning same problem. I have done the paperclip psu test and it will be constant clicking unless I wait for a while, then all of a sudden it works. Even though I have taken the psu fan out and cleaned it, this is a repeating problem. I thought it was a problem with the fan on PSU but maybe also with the 24 pin connector cord? Should I just get a new PSU at this point?

AM4 in general is a great motherboard platform. I'm also running a B450 board and I even chose that since I don't use Ryzen 5000 and PCIe 4.0 support is only a small difference.

If you watch Linus videos you would know that PCIe 4.0 differences are only 5% or less in performance. You don't really get much more fps or faster SSD speeds through it.

Update your bios and use Ryzen 5000 with that board, you're fine.

In terms of future upgradability, would ryzen 5000 support eventual ddr5/usb4.0 or no?

Check your system load on MSI Afterburner and Task Manager. Its either CPU Bottleneck (which is unlikely because cod mw and warzone by proxy is pretty GPU bounded) or low usage overall.

I did the DDU fresh install. With warzone running a match task manager says GPU is at 10% usage and ASUS gpu tweak II gpu temp is 54 degrees and gpu clock is 1935 mhz. I do not know if I have to manually make my gpu run better?

  12. I am looking at the Vizio SB3821-C6 and the Polk Signa S2 for a cheap soundbar with a subwoofer, I see that many people praise the Vizio so is there a reason to pay extra for the Polk Signa?
