  1. I can! It's not a factor for me. The 2070 looks like a better deal given how much faster it is - but that advantage goes away when a gsync display costs as much as the card! I could consider dropping the sync requirement, but I'd like to move to 1440 and 100hz+ at least. I guess put it this way; if I got a 2070 would it be worth an extra £200+ to also get gsync monitor or would a cheaper 1440p 144hz non-gsync monitor be almost as good an experience?
  2. Hey guys, I'm a first time poster. I have a hybrid workstation/gaming rig which I built at the start of the year. I used an old 1060 from a previous rig at the time and spent my money on the CPU and other components, but it's about time to upgrade the GPU and I would like to go to a high refresh rate adaptive sync set up. I've narrowed it down to either an Asus Vega 56 (£360) paired with an Element Gaming freesync display (£230) or an MSI 2070 (£460) with a gsync display of some sort (£450-500). Given I don't have as much time to game as I'd like, and the price to performance, I would rather go with the cheaper pairing but I've not used an AMD card in over a decade and I'm worried that when I come to upgrade in a few years that they won't be a viable option anymore. Given how ahead Nvidia tend to be it's likely i will want another one at some point and it would be a shame to have to drop the adaptive sync at that point. Do you guys think the large price bump is worth the monitor future proofing?
