  1. Hi Rascal, According to Dell Specs page, yes, it does support 8 GB RAM: https://www.dell.com/support/manuals/jp/ja/jpbsd1/inspiron-3472-desktop/inspiron_3472_setupandspecs/memory?guid=guid-0f3cc35e-8c93-4d44-95fa-c85c1052cc2a&lang=en-us I have resetted the BIOS settings back to factory defaults but it doesn't change anything. If I put back the 4 GB RAM card, it works normally.
  2. Hi, Recently, I have replaced my 4G RAM memory card by a 8G one. When I boot with the new card, I get a black screen and Windows cannot start. If I check in the BIOS, I can see that my 8G memory is seen with the same speed as the 4G card. I attempted to run a diagnostic test on the memory but I get the same black screen and nothing happens. I attached a picture showing the 2 memory cards side by side. Can anyone see something that could cause an incompatibility? For information, my computer is a Dell Inspiron 3472. I know that the new memory card works fine because I have tested it in another computer and this time, Windows runs normally with the additional memory. Thanks!
