  1. Oh okay, while i am not using scaling in game, the issue also occurs while not in game. Generally being on the desktop/ browsing and in game by "hookups". I am however currently using the same peripherals and drive in another system to test, and am not having any issues. So i'm gonna have to go from the fact that the HW of the "faulty" desktop is the issue.
  2. I do have 1 screen at 1920x1080 and 1 screen at 3840x2160 if that's what you mean?
  3. Hi, I'm posting here as i'm at the end of my sanity. Since some time my PC has the issue where windows freezes up for 1-2 seconds at random intervals. Though one thing i'm noticing is that the task bar starts flickering and for example AIDA64 starts "refreshing" if that makes sense. This flickering also happens with other windows tabs like file explorer etc. Troubleshooting i have done (note this is not the exact order i have done these in): - Memtest86 on Ram + running system on individual stick of ram in different slots - SFC Scan on windows + Reinstall windows - Clean install windows on a spare SSD (256GB Kingston SSD) + Running from this SSD without the HDD connected - Test with another GPU (GigaByte GTX 1080ti) - Tested on each single screen individually - Tested different mouse and keyboard - Checked on windows Performance Recoder + Analyzer to check for Programs misbehaving. So far i have found nothing out of the ordinary nor any misbehaving programs with the performance analyzer. I have not tested putting the SSD in a second system due to me using OCM versions of windows, but i will test if needed. If anyone has any ideas of what the issue may be/ has any suggestions for test i can do i will gladly try them out. Edit: I've monitored temperatures during all my test including stress testing where no temperatures exceeded 80°C PC Parts: Motherboard: GigaByte X570 Aorus Elite CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600X not overclocked or tampered with + Wraith Spire Cooler RAM: 2x 8GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4 3000Mhz Memory GPU: GigaBye RTX 2070 Super SSD: Samsung 970EVO NVME M.2 SSD 500GB HDD: Seagate Barracuda 2TB ST2000DM008 7200RPM PSU: Corsair RM750 750W
  4. What bugs me the most right now is your CPU temps, If they got better with a delid that's awesome, but i'd look maybe into getting an aio cooler. The low profile Air cooler you have probably just can't handle the heat.
  5. The ram specifications published are often their XMP profile settings, meaning that their base freq in the case of 3000kit memory should be 2133 if i'm not mistaken. If anything i would check the Specs for your ryzen chip as well. It should state what freq of ram it supports best as well and go from there. That being said it will just slow down faster ram if it doesn't support it. You just pay more for less.
  6. I'd recommend using AIDA 64 extreme trial edition since it is free. The one problem i see here is that there might be air trapped in between the thermal paste, which might result in problems on stress. Since AIDA 64 Can check each core's temp you should really look out for maybe 1 or 2 cores that have a certain temp difference to the other ones. Imo i'd always re-apply thermal paste after removing an old cooler.
  7. On the windows installer it should ask you where you want to install so it should show all drives seperately. Doing so you can format drive C and D there and select C as the install drive. If you're reeally scared you can deconect drive F so the system can't touch it.
  8. I've got no clue on how this came to be either, i was running the inbuilt automatic OC settings (maxing to 4.7) which should normally never give issues. But my cpu even fully stressed never went over 70°C. Hoping i can let this guy be refunded though ^^'.
  9. I've read over the reddit post and i hadthe exact same blue screen codes cycling, so i can assume it will indeed be the cpu. Tomorrow i can test an I5 8600k that i bought for my girlfriends system to see i that will work. Thank you though!
  10. Small clear up, after some tests i didn't reach a bsod anymore, it started crashing before it even could show anything windows related. Bios works fine though.
  11. Hi everyone, Starting to day my computer started to act up. I blue screened 2 times while starting up a game. Following this the game went to repair itself and all was fine up until about 2 hours later. Another blue screen appeared and after the pc restarts, flashes the bios logo. Instantly crashes on booting windows and repeat. I installed a new Windows 10 boot drive and booting from it does exactly the same. Parts list. Gygabyte 1080ti OC edition, I7 8700k, MSI Z370 krait gaming, Nzxt X62, Corsair 3000Mhz 16GB kit, 750W be quiet psu, samsung 970pro 500GB M.2 I tried: Unhooking al peripherals Reseating the ram sticks, didn't work (tested both seperatly, also tested on other slots) Default settings in the bios Formatting the SSD M.2 Checking for bent socket pins It keeps doing the same thing, i'm starting to think the cpu died. Note i built this system 2 weeks ago and it has been running perfectly. I stress tested it multiple times last week and temps were fine. Does anyone have a clue that it might indeed be a dead cpu? It's detected in the bios and temps in the bios are hovering 32°C
