*Update* I switched the input back to DP and it shows my desktop background along with the windows bar but no icons. It also won't open up any of the applications I click on but when I switch back to HDMI all the applications are opened.

I can't find anything I can use DP with in my house, anything else I can try?

So I recently bought a BenQ GW2765 1440p monitor to game on and I've had it hooked up via DP. Every now and then when I restart my computer it takes a while for the BenQ to catch the signal that I've turned it on but now it just doesn't get a signal at all. I've switched over to HDMI and everything is working fine. How can I fix it so I can run it off of DP and am I missing out on anything by running it off HDMI?

So I recently purchased a SS Rival 300 and I have my push to talk as B4 which is the side button. I have no issues whenever I'm using this in game, however, when I'm browsing and talking to friends it always brings my webpage back when I click it. How do I disable that feature without disabling the button itself?

Yeah, from what both optical and USB must be plugged in. I've tried to fiddle around with it but haven't found something to fix the issue

So I recently purchased a pair of SteelSeries Siberia 840s and I'm able to game/watch movies all day and night without an issue but when I try to listen to music from my iTunes library I can't hear anything. I have it connected through USB/Optical to my motherboard. I'm not sure if this is an issue with iTunes or my 840s but the Siberia Elites I just had played my iTunes library just fine. Anyone know what might be the problem?

I just bought and installed my MSI GTX 1070 gaming X and everything went fine until I finished downloading Liveupdate 6. Every time I try to launch the program I get an error msg saying " The platform does not support this application". Anyone know how I can fix this? System Specs: CPU : AMD Phenom II x6 1100T Black GPU GTX 1070 Gaming X Mobo: GA-990-FXA-UD3 RAM : 8GB DDR3 G.Skill OS: Win10 64bit

I'm currently running it off a HDMI with the drivers up to date. I haven't gone in game just yet but will switching to DP give me better color accuracy?

So I just finished installing my GTX 1070 from MSI and bought a BenQ GW2765HT 1440p monitor to go along with it. The question now is, HDMI or DP and why?? I did look around to see if I could find the answer myself but all I find are mixed reviews.

Recommendations? Also I'm seeing reports of people being able to OC the acer g257hu to 85Hz

So I'm picking up my 1070 tomorrow and I'm still stuck on what type of monitor to get. I'd be gaming/streaming for the most part and watching movies here and there. I usually play CSGO/COD/BF and once i get the 1070 ill jump into AC, GTA V and other more demanding games once grab my card. I'm currently playing on my old PC's HP 2009m and haven't experience any other type of monitor. I have a budget of around $400 CAD and I'm stuck between grabbing an Acer G257HU (1440p 25") or the LG 29um58-P (1080 Ultrawide 29"). Which would give me the better experience or if you guys have any other recommendations feel free to share!

What would you guys recommend for a gaming monitor for games like CSGO,GTAV,BF,COD,DBD. I also am getting a GTX 1070 and I'm stuck between a 29um58-p or an Acer G257HU

I'm just worried because every here and there I see people saying you're able to see individual pixels on the 29um58-P because of its low PPI? anyone here own one and can verify?? Also, I don't feel like the 1070 will be able to run games at 1440p for more than a year seeing how it's already running most at 40-80fps

What would be a good 29" 1440p ultrawide?

Well I guess that puts a stop to me using more money, is it a big difference in 1080p to 1440p anyway?

So I'm ordering my parts this week and I've decided to go along and buy an ultrawide to game on. I'm going to be running an i7-6700k and a GTX 1070 and don't care if the display comes with speakers. I've done some research and all I see is mixed reviews. Some saying you need to be running it off a Display port others saying HDMI/DVI will be fine. I'm looking to get the best bang for my buck, I'm trying to keep it under $350-400CAD preferably. If you guys can tell me what are my best options and thoughts on if I should fork up the extra cash for g sync it would be appreciated! Does anyone know if there's been a 5 1/4" bay created to control the front panel connectors (power, reset, usb and audio)? I really want to use the prodigy for a lan pc I'm making but the side panel connectors are killing the case for me. I'm also open to any nice looking itx or Matx cases, the only other I've come to like is the lian li PC O6S

So I plan on buying a ultrawide and I'm not exactly sure of what I should get. Ill be using it for mostly gaming and watching movies. I haven't decided on what GPU to upgrade to seeing how there's huge controversy on G-sync, Freesync and V-sync but I'm hoping to pick up a GTX 970 from MSI. Not exactly sure of the pros and cons on them, I just know they help reduce tearing/input lag. If I pick up the 970 am I going to run into any problems playing CS:GO, COD or BF? The monitors that have grabbed my attention were the LG 34UM67 LG 34UC87M-B (massdrop) LG 34UM94 or LG 34UM95 (No idea what the difference is) *Note* I'm also not sure of some of these models, some have -B or -P and I honestly can't find the difference between them. If you do know what they mean let me know.

So I plan on spoiling myself this Christmas by buying/building a new gaming rig. My only other concern is if I'm cutting it too close with the PSU wattage. Ill only be bringing the cpu up to 3.9GHZ and might OC the 970 a bit, thoughts?

So I have a SSD which currently has my OS and everything else that I've downloaded in the past couple of months and a near empty 1TB HDD. How can I delete everything except my OS off the drive and configure my computer so that everything gets downloaded to the HDD with the exceptions of things I manually move into there? I'm currently using a 840 Pro and have a 750GB and 1TB HDD installed but magician will not let me use either for a backup.
