  1. I have no idea how to re program a driver and re installing the driver through AMDs own clean install and with DDU didn't work. I guess for now I will be reverting to a stable driver but I really hope I can use some of the later drivers because they have some good performance increases.
  2. 2 on HDMI and 1 on DP should be fine. IIRC you have to get the later revisions of HDMI for 1440p @ 144Hz though
  3. I updated my RX 580 driver from 19.5.2 to 19.9.2 and now I have really bad flashing artifacts on both of my monitors. I have no idea what is causing this to happen as it just starts to happen whenever I open a window of any kind or sometimes mouse movement will cause it to start. 20191001_211948.mp4
  4. I fixed it now. It turns out Windows didn't like the version of the bios I was on. I updated to f42a, then back to f32 and then to f42a again and so far I have been able to boot into windows 3 times
  5. Very true. When I get back from work I'll be reinstalling windows then. I'll probably try and reinstall the bios so I can get that temporary boot up to get a list of stuff ill need to re-download then. Thank you for your time
  6. No luck with these steps sadly. I think a reinstall is the most likely to fix it but I was really hoping to avoid that because it takes so long to get all of the software back on and to relink my games files
  7. Turns out this did not fix it. As soon as i restarted the PC it went into the same "please insert boot media" message
  8. I have no idea why this fixed it but I left all 3 drives connected and reinstalled the F32 bios and I was able to boot into windows. If anyone has any idea why this worked please let me know because I am really confused and I think this would be helpful in the future.
  9. The startup repair is on a windows installation media. If you have a USB flash drive that you are not currently using you can put a Windows 10 installation on it and instead of installing windows there is an option near the bottom left of the window that says repair. I cant remember where you an get the windows 10 installation file for a usb but IIRC it is from the microsoft website
  10. Thanks for the quick response. I just checked the manual and it says only the ASATA ports are disabled with an x4 ssd but I have the other drives in SATA 0 and 1.
  11. I just changed my motherboard from a Gigabyte AB350m-Gaming 3 to a B450 Aorus M. I have a 500GB NVMe ssd, a 2TB SATA SSD and a 1TB HDD. Windows is on the 500GB NVMe ssd, games on the 2TB and misc. storage on the 1TB. When I replaced the motherboard I only had the NVMe ssd connected and the other drives disconnected and I was able to boot into windows perfectly, so I then shut down and turned he PSU off to plug in the other drives but this caused Windows to not be recognised and is asking me to restart with a boot media. I turned the PC off, unplugged the other drives and turned it back on and it still comes up with the same message. I then updated the BIOS to F32 with just the OS drive (NVMe) and I was able to boot into Windows, so I tried plugging the other drives in and now I am back in the same "Please insert boot media" message. I have made sure the boot order only has the OS drive when all 3 drives are connected. I have tried to boot override the OS drive but this did not work either. I am really hoping that I don't have to reinstall Windows. 12. The thermal paste was from my fingers but I removed as much as I could after. There's not enough room to put the graphics card in the bottom slot sadly.
  13. So I have reseated the CPU again and its doing the same as before. So power light turns on, lights and fans turn on, display says no signal and then black and that's it. Lights and fans still running.
  14. Thank you for your response. My display cable was using my RX 580 and then I also tried to use DP first and then swapped it for HDMi. The first time it didn't post i reseated it but I didn't check the pins again. This time i have checked the pins and as far as I can tell they seem ok but I don't really know what to look for. I'm going to try and reseat it again. https://imgur.com/URJ5vSx https://imgur.com/8bdCcsA https://imgur.com/mU9oOC2 https://imgur.com/rc623eH https://imgur.com/5HfxZKb The image quality is not too great. I only have an LG G6 that can take photos. EDIT: no pins are missing it looks like
  15. The Ryzen 7 2700x had some of the pins bent but I was able to straighten them out and it sits in the socket nicely now. (I got it from a friend who bent it) I have gone from a Ryzen 3 2200g to a Ryzen 7 2700x an there is no POST (beep or display) but the LEDs and fans are all on. keyboard and mouse LEDS are not on. CPU: R3 2200g / R7 2700x GPU: RX 580 RAM: 16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4 3000MHz MoBo: Gigabyte ab-350M gaming 3 PSU: Coolermaster MasterWatt 650W The system was working perfectly with the 2200g. I've tried the clear cmos pins, removing the cmos battery for 5 minutes and every other component was working before the change of CPU. Even though the pins are staright now, does that mean the CPU is dead?# EDIT: The BIOS and drivers were all up to date before the swap.
