  1. Yes they are plugged into a single motherboard header. Right after I posted this, I found the fan settings in the bios and changed them all from silent to standard. Hopefully that fixes the problem.
  2. I just completed my new build the other day and know I'm having trouble with my case fans. The case is a fractal pop air mini and you can find the rest of the build linked below. https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/PXhmQP When I first finished the build everything looked to be working fine. Then later I came down to find that 2 of the 3 case fans weren't spinning. I have them daisy chained together, so I took off the side of the case to make sure there were still connected. I couldn't find anything wrong with them. So I just happen to touch one and it started spinning again. Today went I turned it on, the front two didn't start spinning, so I try it again and they started working. So, the clearly have power, but for some reason don't always start spinning. They also don't seem to be moving very much air (I think it was only 300 rpm or so in the bios) but maybe that could be how they are suppose to function. Does anyone have any idea what could cause this?
  3. This was the problem. I just figured it before I read this. Thanks!
  4. I just finished building my new PC. Everything went pretty well except one of my m.2 drives isn't showing up in windows. I can see it in the bios and in crystal disk info (however it has no drive letter). It also appears in hwinfo. Here is a link to my PC for the component's. https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/PXhmQP Does anyone know how to get windows to recognize it?
  5. Yeah, I was hoping there was a better way. First build in a while, so I was hoping to install everything at once. Thanks.
  6. I have two identical m.2 drives. My motherboards m.2 sockets operate at different speeds. I'm assuming I want to install windows to the ssd that's in the faster socket.. Is there anyway to differentiate drives when I'm choosing where to install windows to?
  7. So I'm building a new PC and I want to reuse my current SSD drive that has Windows install on it currently (for extra storage). I plan to do a fresh install of windows on a different drive, but I was wondering would there be an issue to install it when I'm building the rest of my computer? Or will it try and boot from that drive? I just wanted to make sure everything went well with the new build and I didn't need anything off it until I wiped it. So, I just wondering if that would be an issue. Thanks.
  8. Sorry, here's the current build. https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/Th6Rn6
  9. Hey, I'm going to use repurpose this case for my new PC and I noticed that I only have the one front fan. Is it worth picking up another front fan? Does anyone have a recommendation for a 120mm black case fan with a white LED that would match? It looks like the official one is sold out everywhere. Here a link the to the case, https://www.fractal-design.com/products/cases/focus/focus-g-mini/black/ Thanks
  10. I would still need to buy thermal paste for the stock cooler, correct?
  11. Hey I really appreciate your help. I think I'm going to end up with a better build for probably less than money than before. One more check for the final build https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/HPZkHG
  12. I apparently actually have the Focus G Mini, which is the mATX version. It's not listed on pcpartspicker, so I just verified it now.
  13. Thanks for the suggestion. Doing a bit more quick research I see your point. I'm never sure what MB to pick, am I losing out on anything by going a bit on the cheaper end? I took a few of your suggestions and updated the build. Would something like this work? https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/cJrzXk
  14. It seems like the CPU is cheaper, but things like the MB and the RAM would be more expensive.
