  1. I will do thxs, it just did not make sense they are the same make and model same speed and size so i just assumed it would be plug and play as i have seen loads of youtube videos with people building pcs with ram from different boxes of the same make but they told me it all had to come in the same box to be compatible
  2. I recently bought a new kit of ddr4 corsair vengeance pro ram to add to me prebuilt pc and its the same make and capacity as the ones that came with my pc but i have been getting random stutters in windows and memory blue screens so i contacted corsair and was told by them that prebuilt pc ram and off the shelf ram cant be mixed and i would have to buy another kit and take out the prebuilt ram even they themselves sent me one new stick to replace one of the prebuilt ram sticks because the leds went bad so i was just wondering if anyone can confirm what they said before i buy more ram or are they talking out of their ass to get me to buy more ram.
  3. the case has glass on both sides but on the side the would be on with the shift i have a two inch gap between were it will sit and the glass so space is not an issue it was mainly if it was compatible with my current hardware since it pcie 5
  4. i wont need the 1000 as will only be getting maybe a 4070 or 4070 ti at a push plus the new shift comes with all the new cables in case the card i get needs the new cable plus i have just checked the prices and the 850 shift is £138 on sale and the 1000w normal is £164 plus the shift comes with no questions asked returns so if it does not work it wont cost me anything according to what amazon is saying
  5. yeah it does fit i have plenty of room between my current psu and the glass
  6. I am looking to upgrade my psu to an 850 corsair shift and was wondering if there would be any issues with it i am currently running a gigabyte 450 elite motherboard with a 3600x from what i can tell it should be a straight up swap from my old unit to this but not entirely sure and would love to get some advice before dropping £150 on something i cant use
  7. i do and if i use it the ram goes to 3200 and it blue screens any time i try and so anything that why i am worried that if i add more ram even down clocked it would be to much for my motherboard
  8. I currently have 16 gb of ram but i cant run it at its full 3200 speed as its not supported by the motherboard so its stuck at 3000 but i wanted to upgrade to 32 gb but i am worried that if i do my machine wont be able to handle it since its already struggling with the ram i have now my current build is this and my bios is f42c Processor (CPU) AMD Ryzen 5 3600X Six Core CPU (3.8GHz-4.4GHz/36MB CACHE/AM4) Motherboard Gigabyte B450 AORUS ELITE: DDR4, USB 3.1 - RGB Ready Memory (RAM) 16GB Corsair VENGEANCE RGB PRO DDR4 3200MHz (2 x 8GB) Graphics Card 8GB NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 2060 SUPER - HDMI, DP - VR Ready! 1st Storage Drive 2TB SEAGATE BARRACUDA SATA-III 3.5" HDD, 6GB/s, 7200RPM, 256MB CACHE 1st M.2 SSD Drive 256GB ADATA SX6000 Pro PCIe M.2 2280 (2100 MB/R, 1200 MB/W) DVD/BLU-RAY Drive NOT REQUIRED Power Supply CORSAIR 550W TXm SERIES™ SEMI-MODULAR 80 PLUS® GOLD, ULTRA QUIET any help would be great thank you
  9. yeah i got it from there as well as from the bios update tool they have both of them say f42c
  10. but there are several that say its needs the one before it before doing that bios update and since i am not sure were my bios falls on the list i have no clue what one i am supposed to install first so in all likely hood i would probably just end up not doing it in case i bricked my motherboard i am just worried that i may need the security updates it saying are there for the latest bios update
  11. I am using the gigabyte b450 auros elite and it says the bios is f42c but when i go onto the website to get the next bios update i need the current bios i am on is not on there list any were so how am i supposed to work out what i should install next from the list, here is the bios listing https://www.gigabyte.com/uk/Motherboard/B450-AORUS-ELITE-rev-10/support#support-dl-bios i was only planning on doing it because it stated that the newest bios has security updates in it and i have no clue if they are needed or not
  12. Thxs I can't believe it was that simple it's installing now
  13. Any one know how to fix this I have windows 10 already running on the machine and I was just wanting to add an ssd to make it faster but no matter what I do I can get past this never had this issue before with mechanical hard drives
  14. that board supports 8th and 9th gen cpus according to there website
  15. i am looking to spend about £1500 plus and have already picked out most of the parts i am hoping to get I7 9700k,rtx 2080,16 gig 3200mhz corsair ram. samsung 970 pro m.2 plus a bunch of other stuff
