Launching Rust Power Cycles/Forces Computer to Restart
GlassSkies replied to GlassSkies's topic in Troubleshooting
The issue was having both THE FINALS and Rust on different drives on my computer. I had Rust on my SSD and THE FINALS on my Hard Drive, both of which use Easy Anti Cheat. I redownloaded both games and EAC on my SSD and the problem just went away. -

Hey! About 75% of the time that I launch Rust my computer restarts/power cycles. It gets past the initial loading screen and then it just crashes my computer. I opened Ryzen Master and MSI Afterburner as well as Task Manager to check my usage. All of my temperatures were within normal range and my CPU usage was at about 30%, GPU at 4%, and RAM at 45%. I have a Ryzen 5 5600, Nvidia 2070, ASRock B450 Pro, and 2x8gb DDR4 3600 Mhz ram. Reinstalled my graphics driver and that didn't help. Not sure what to do. Any suggestions would be great! Thanks

Hey, This is my current build: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Graymac_12/saved/#view=LHkHzy In rust I get about 55-65 FPS on rust, 75-80 if I'm not near any bases. Task manager says my CPU generally runs at 45% and GPU generally at 35%. I'm wondering if it is worth it to get a Ryzen 5 5600x, or if it is just not worth it to upgrade. Userbenchmark said my computer is running at the expected levels. Thanks

I don’t “need” an upgrade at all, but I want better FPS in Rust and other games. I have the money right now so I figured why not.

I built my computer about a year and a half ago and I want to upgrade my computer. I think that my CPU is bottlenecking my computer. I wanted some advice and thoughts on what I should do if anything. Here is a link to my build. https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Graymac_12/saved/#view=LHkHzy Any help is appreciated. Thanks

bro this pre built is so incredibly overpriced and terrible for 2020. I wouldn’t touch this with a 10 foot pole. 256 gb ssd and i7 but only 8gb ram?

I don't know. I don't want to have to buy parts for Micro ATX

As the title states, I am going to college next year and would like a smaller case for my dorm room. I have a full tower now and I want a half tower, but I have no idea what is good or what my parts will fit in. This is my build https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Graymac_12/saved/#view=LHkHzy Any suggestions would be great. Thanks All!

3000MHz Ram shown running at 2134
GlassSkies replied to GlassSkies's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
I went into BIOS, XMP was on auto, but the dRAM option below it said auto 2133 and I clicked it and set it to 3000 MHz I really don't understand this stuff and I'm wondering if that was a bad decision. -
Hey all, I've noticed low FPS in games that have high RAM intensity such as Rust so I investigate my computer and realized that my ram was running at 2134 MHz. I currently have this build https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Graymac_12/saved/#view=LHkHzy and I'm pretty sure my BIOS is up to date. Some help would be nice. Thanks.
