  1. Great, glad you found something you like and that is working for you.
  2. No such thing as to much GPU power. IMHO. ? But to add to what others have said. A RTX 2080 would be more than enough.
  3. This may sound silly, I am wanting to transfer my OS from my SSD to an M.2. I have a dock to clone disks but of course, I cannot use that. Is there an easy way to do this? The SSD is running my system at the moment, is there a way to migrate the OS without taking my drives out, etc. I am sure I am missing something. Thanks for helping me with a silly question.
  4. Been building systems for a while. But I have never built a server. I'd like to build one for cloud/streaming for the house and to host my domain( if that is possible) been paying to have it hosted since 1994, I think I have put the owner of the hosting service kids through college. Thank you in advance for any help/info you can give.
  5. Thanks to all that helped the OP, you helped me a lot as I am looking to set a server up and host my domain. Thank you.
  6. I like Aphacool, and if you are on a budget Corsair.
  7. Anyone ever used these fans? How well did they work? Did you like them? " Enermax T.B. Vegas Trio 120mm LED"
  8. Building a new system, might take the rt side panel and cut and fit a 200mm fan I have here. Why? Just because I can.
  9. The sad thing is when you have a class action suit only the lawyers make anything the people scammed only get a fraction of their money back.
  10. Figured it was something I had not picked up on in the past, it was a pleasant surprise
  11. Have an RTX 2080ti FE and as most of you know they run a bit warm out of the box. Mine was running in the upper to mid 40sat idle and under load, it averaged about the upper 70's to 84 max. After the new driver's on the 25th I have dropped 10c at idle and 5c under load. Never seen new drivers or even software have that good of an effect on GPU temps. Anyone else seen this happen before?
  12. Good list, well done and written. And factual information. I have 2080 ti FE x2 and I slapped an Alphacool Eiswolf GPX 240 on them and they idle in the mid 30's C to almost ambient. Under load, the highest I saw them get was the low 70's. Just info if someone was wondering how the FE did under water.
  13. Was just wondering with so many AIO out there for both CPU and GPU cooling out there, which is your favorite, why, and what's your best and worst experience with one. I have used Corsair with great results, but I just switched to Alphacool but have not had Alphacool running long enough to form an opinion.
  14. I think it's cool when people try new things. Most of them seem stupid at first and most fail. But when they work we get some great things. You get things like this.https://inhabitat.com/malawi-youth-builds-windmill-to-power-village/
  15. Sorry about that..I have an i9 9900k, on a Maximus Code xi, with 2 2080ti FE and 64gb DDR4 3000mhz. And thanks for the help.
  16. Glad to know it's not just me... Fixing to slap in under an AIO so hopefully, that will solve it/.
  17. Being retired I have A bit of time on my hands some days. I am looking to learn this a sort of a hobby. My system is Inel/Nivida, and I'd like to learn all sides of it if I can.
  18. I understand the enough though I live in Manie US it gets pretty toasty here in the summer and the humidity is awful.

    Ebay gripe

Been buying and selling on eBay since 1998. When it started you could find good deals at less than retail. Now it is just a storefront for companies like New Egg Best Buy etc. Also, people use to always leave feedback if you did also. Now you are really lucky if someone leaves feedback regardless of what you did. Ok, rant off.
  20. Thanks. I have seen it different on the different game as well.
  21. Be yourself. Go easy, make sure you are groomed nice and go with the flow so as to say.
  22. Can someone point me to a good beginners guide to OCing? This is something that I am finding interesting and do not want to brick my system Thanks
