Hello,
I just recently upgraded my GPU from a GTX 750 to a RX 570.
So up until now I would be getting half decent gaming performance on 1080p with no issues.
After upgrading to the RX there was a very clear bump in performance but then my PC started shutting itself down mid-game.
I checked the temps, GPU was around 40-50c and CPU was around 70-80c at max which is hot but I've seen this processor reach 90c without shutting down.
I am using an Arctic Freezer 7 Pro Rev.2 cooler which is a pretty decent aftermarket cooler, also I didn't see any issues with the fan stopping.
I tried reinstalling the CPU fan and changing thermal compound, no help.
I tried lowering settings, also no help.
Anyways, I know this is a pretty old CPU but I'm pretty sure it can handle 1080p gaming at high settings.
Also it's not overclocked.
