have you tried uninstalling AMD and nVidia drivers with DDU in safe mode and reinstall the drivers after restarting

I have not. I also am not sure what DDU is.

How did you acquire this 1080 Ti?  Used?  I don't think they are being sold new unless it is from back stock.  Maybe you should start there.  You could try a benchmarking program like Unigine Heaven benchmark and see if it still artifacts.  If it still artifacts, then the card is probably defective.

I bought it from a buddy that was building a mining rig but the market plummeted right as he was getting into it. I spoke with him he said it should still have warranty. I tried MSI kombustor and it seems fine I think? If 0/XXXX artifacts is good??

You are missing textures, how much RAM (not VRAM) do you have installed. How much pagefile have you allocated?

I have 16gb ram. I’m not sure how much I have allocated or how to check that. I apologize for my ignorance..

  2. Hey guys,

I got an MSI armor 1080 Ti and I think it's artifacting.. Not 100% sure exactly what artifacting is to be completely honest but this issue has been has been happening pretty much every game in only Dead By Daylight so far. I have not has any issues with PUBG or Project Cars 2. Basically my screen becomes consumed by blackness, starting small then growing to the whole screen. I have tried to play on lowest settings for DBD and i still have the issue..

Any info on what is going on or how to possibly fix this issue a GREATLY appreciated. (I have already tried re-installing latest drivers and even tired re-installing the game and the issue still exists)

  3. I'm trying to install a mobile networking card on my work laptop (Dell Latitude E7440). I bought the appropriate networking card for the laptop but only two antenna cables fit in the board, the black and white cables. The blue cable connector seems to be too small for the connection on the board. I pulled the SIM card out of my Dell tablet and stuck it in the laptop to see if it would work. The laptop now recognizes the SIM card and see's it's a Verizon Network but states there is no service. I have already tried installing the latest drivers from the dell website. I have installed the white cable on the MAIN connector and the black cable on the AUX connector.

The cables were already installed from factory and there was an empty slot for this networking card.

    I am running Windows 10 (64 bit).

Make a folder called "Videos" (if it'll let you) and point the videos Picture folder to it.

You could also try editing the registry entry at HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders (you'll have to log out and log back in for it to take effect)

Registry path helped me fix the issue! Thank you!

  5. Windows 10 Pro (64 bit)

Okay so I just installed a (C:) M.2 drive to boot windows off of and migrated everything over from my (D:) 4 TB HDD.

I formatted (D:) to make it my storage drive and proceeded to redirect my system folders to it (Pictures, Videos, Documents, etc.) but I clicked the wrong folder when moving my 'Videos' folder and now it is named 'Pictures' and it directs me to my actual 'Pictures' folder. I can't rename it back to videos or move it to the designated videos folder because it now acts like my 'Pictures' folder. Basically I have two 'Pictures' folders now..

    How do I fix this?

  6. I want to buy a modded Xbox controller but the guy selling it lost the instructions so it's practically useless. He said the brand is 'Dynamic Essentialz' and I did some YouTube searches and it seems pretty cool.

Does anyone know if I can find/download a set of these instructions?

If you want to game in 4k, you need to aim higher for the GPU, atleast GTX1080 or better 1080ti. 1070ti will not cut it unless you want to play on low/medium settings.

PSU if an overkill. Get a high end 750W PSU and it will be everything you will ever need. EVGA 750W G2 or GQ model, both are high end 80+ Gold.

PSU is on sale for $99 right now so might as well get something that could possibly handle upgrades in the future haha

u tried, as lots of peopkle on here wouldnt.
But lots is wrong here :D
Is there some kind of budget? then i will try to put a list together

I'm trying to stay roughly under 2k I guess. If I can't game in 4k I'll be willing to game in 1080 until I can upgrade later on.

  9. Hey guys, so I’ve always wanted to build a pc. I’ve never really got into it enough to know what I’m doing or what components I really need for what I want to build.

Anyway, I’m aiming for something that can handle 4K FPS games along with 4K racing games like forza then eventually upgrading to something that can handle VR.

Along with gaming, I will also be using it to edit 4K videos quite often.

    Components

    I don’t have anything except for a

‘be quiet! BGW21 Pure Base 600’ case. I don’t know if the rest of the listed components will even fit in here or if they’re compatible with each other etc.. ideally, the smaller the final cost the better but this it what I got so far. Please let me know any advice.

I plan to get (all from Best Buy) [California, USA]

    CORSAIR - Vengeance LPX 16GB (2PK x 8GB) 3.2 GHz DDR4 DRAM Desktop Memory Kit - Black

EVGA - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 Ti SC Gaming 8GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 Graphics Card - Black

EVGA - 1000W ATX /EPS 80 Plus Gold Modular Power Supply - Black

MSI - MPG Z390 GAMING EDGE AC (Socket LGA1151) USB 3.1 Gen 1 Intel Motherboard with LED Lighting

WD - Performance 4TB Internal Serial ATA Hard Drive for Desktops

    Intel - Core i7-9700K Octa-Core 3.6 GHz Desktop Processor

Total bill with all that stuff is $1,559.93 not including the windows 10 pro OS, mouse/keyboard and a 4K 60Hz monitor.

again, I have no idea if all of this stuff will work with each other or if I don’t have enough gpu or something for what I’m trying to do. I’m open to all suggestions and appreciate the help you guys provide!

    BUDGET: 2K for complete system

I am willing to give up 4k gaming for the mean time if I can't fit it in the budget but I still want to game at least 1080P on highest settings.
