    The unfortunately reality is that when you buy one of these no name salvage motherboards (which may not even be a real X99 chipset) there's a high chance you'll run into weird quirks and you won't have any support to fall back on. Unless someone else here happens to have used this particular model before you may be out of luck.

    There is ALWAYS a bottleneck. For any given application, there will always be a limiting factor on performance.

    I mean, it could still be ongoing. Or it could have concluded. Or it might have never happened. We don't know. In fairness, legalities limit what they would be able to say about the findings of the investigation, assuming it took place. So all we have to go on to determine how seriously they took the whole matter is their attitude towards these things in other videos. Hmm.

PCPartpicker allows you to share a link to a build list. Please use this instead of posting crappy photos of your dirty screen. Even a screenshot would be better than this.

    The 980 ti came out in 2015, of course it has Windows 10 drivers. I think you got confused with the later discussion of Windows 7 drivers for the 3090 ti vs the 4090.

    If the stock cooler has been on there since the PC was built in the era when a 6500 was current, it is well due for new thermal paste.

    Motherboard standoffs are supposed to prevent this.

    5700G is much better. You are ignoring the improvements in IPC across the generations, like AMD just sat on their laurels from 2017 to 2021. (Who do you think they are, Intel?) 8 Zen 3 cores wipes the floor with 8 Zen 1 cores. I would not want to use Zen 1 in a gaming PC now.

    I'm not sure I entirely follow what you're saying, but is it possible that your grandpa's memory is failing?

    I'm not quite sure what you mean, but if you're thinking that the the cooling will somehow be more efficient because of the lack of ventilation in the top making the air go in a 'straight' path or something... it won't be. The H510's poor top ventilation is just restricting overall airflow through the case and giving you fewer useful options for fan/radiator placement.

    What airflow? This series was infamous for being a hotbox and then they somewhat mitigated it by punching holes in the front (basically what modders on sites like Etsy were already doing). Top is still stupidly closed off. H5 Flow is much better if you actually care about this. So that's airflow spoken for. Size is basically the same. Look? Buy an H5 Flow and paint it.

    It's a band-aid fix that made a poor case into a "meh" one. It's been superseded in NZXT's lineup by superior models. What is it about it that's so important to you?

    Hi, welcome to the forums. You've posted this in the "custom loop and exotic cooling" subforum. What is the actual cooling configuration in your PC? HWmonitor is no longer considered reliable. Have you verified these temps with other applications?
