  1. Hey, I bought a Dell inspiron 5680 in 2019 with 8GB of ram, still does quite well, but the games I play frequently slow down during loading (or crash) with essentially max ram usage constantly during play. I would like to add another 8gb stick of ram, but dont know for sure if a stick i will buy(which is also ddr4, 2666mhz) will be compatible with the current one since they will be a different brand. (Dell is asking 130 euros while can find tme online for 25-50)
  2. I have this issue with chrome, firefox and edge. examples of the issue is the "tanks" and "1.11" drop down menu's on this site (https://tanks.gg/) and the show button on this forum (http://forum.worldoftanks.com/index.php?/topic/584699-personal-missions-20-recommended-vehicles-for-operation-chimera/)
  3. Hi, I'm having a issue that i think might be caused because javascript is somehow disabled. I already enabled it in my browser but certain functionalities on websites (like spoilers that hide text or drop down menu's) simply dont work. On my phone that is connected to the same router everything does work.
  4. Hi, its definitely not me moving the mouse to quickly. The website is tanks.gg an example is https://tanks.gg/tank/tiger-ii/stats the buttons to switch guns or ammo simply dont do anything.
  5. Hi, I'm having an issue where buttons that open drop down menu's dont work on a certain website. It does however work for other people. I already tried reinstalling chrome, enabling javascript (it was enabled), adding the website to trusted and disabled the chrome safe browsing. At this point i dont have a clue and any information i found just googling told me to do the above, which didnt work
  6. where i live a 580 costs about €200 while a 1660Ti starts at slightly over €300. The choice between those is purely on budget, they are in a different league
  7. Hello, I have been skulking around the forums looking for some help but i have finally decided on my final parts list. I would like some feedback to see if i didnt mess something up. Total price is €969.65 including shipping when i actually buy my parts. ! note : the ram i buy is a 2*8gb kit but i couldnt find that exact kit on partpicker so i took the 4*8gb for demonstration purposes. Issues / questions I can get a MSI GTX1060 6GB Gaming for exactly the same price as this RX580 so its hard to decide Certain PC assembly YT video's (from very popular YTers) tell me to update the motherboard UEFI once the build is complete and it starts. This is however an extremely risky maneuvre (since it could kill it if power falls out). Is this necessairy because i would rather avoid that if possible. If i run into issues when assembling it and get to the final stage where i have to take off the stock CPU cooler (with included thermal paste). Will i then have to buy additional thermal paste and removers or can i just stick it back on again? (i assume its the new thermal paste route) EDIT: i changed the RX580 for the GTX1060 mainly due to much lower power consumption and similar/identical performance
  8. @Vejnemojnen I was looking at that GTX 1060 before but i heard the armour versions are incredibly loud? the XFX GTS XXX RX580 is basically the same price, can you explain why that one is "better" then the gigabyte one? I noticed the XFX one is significantly longer so i guess the mian difference is cooling?
  9. I'm planning to build my first PC and have decided on the RX580 videocard (in combination with ryzen 5 2600). I see there is a wide range of supplier selling rx580's at widely varying prices. What are the mayor differences between the following 3 cards that give them such a wide variety in prices? Asrock Phantom Gaming D Radeon RX580 8G OC (€181) Gigabyte Radeon AORUS RX 580 8GB (€215) Sapphire Radeon RX 580 Pulse 8GB (€259) link to wide range of RX580's available to me :
  10. Thanks for all the feedback, i will go with B450M pro4 by asrock as you both suggested, i might have question tomorrow tho when i have issues finding compatible ram
  11. @LukeSavenije first of all thanks for the quick respons, i'm new at this so i might ask stupid questions do you mean the ram sticks have a separate QVL list? or are you just telling me to check the qvl list of the MOBO (which i did, its not on it) what is the purpose of a VRM shield? I tried looking for a b450M pro 4 and got to the one linked here is the VRM shield the metal looking plates above what is labelled "usb3.1 gen2" in the middle left of the board? What is the advantage of this board compared to the gigabyte one?
  12. @LukeSavenije If the QVL list means its tested then the 3000 mHz will be guaranteed to work and the 3200 mHz stick will be a gamble even tho its 3200 which is listed on MOBO website as compatible?? Is a QVL list the only way to make sure it will be guaranteed to work why would you not use that MOBO? i dont need a full size ATX because i dont need the extra slots and this is a whole lot cheaper then a full sized atx
  13. Hello, I'm deciding on parts for my first PC (linked on the bottom) but i'm having issues figuring out if my RAM is compatible with my motherboard. I will use my MOBO as an example but an anwser that is more general and relates to any MOBO is also more than welcome. The motherboard i'm currenlty using is the gigabyte B450M DS3H linked here After advise here on the LTT forum I would pare this motherboard with the current 2*8GB 3000mHz ramsticks (CMK16GX4M2B3000C15 ) supplier linked here Another option would be 2*8Gb 3200 mHz ramsticks ( CMK16GX4M2B3200C16 ) supplier linked here This is where the issue arrives, according the the MOBO website it has "Support for DDR4 3200(O.C.)/2933/2667/2400/2133 MHz memory modules" so the 1st module should not be supported while the second one should have support. After asking on this forum i got told about QVL lists and that i should check the list for my motherboard to see if the specific ramstick ID's are on it to ensure its compatible linked here According to the QVL list i should buy the first set since that is on the list while the second one isnt. This means that i now have 2 seperate resources telling me to do the opposite! What is the right pick, how do i know for sure its the right pick, is the QVL list even true, will modules work at their listed capacity (3000 and 3200) or will they be tuned down. I really dont know what do to and its frustrating since this is my first PC build and i dont want to get stuck with or risk incompatible parts. Full PC layout linked here for those that are interested
  14. i'm also in search for a good graphics card for a new build (in belgium) and found this one; https://www.megekko.nl/product/1962/999224/AMD-Videokaarten/Gigabyte-Radeon-RX-580-GAMING-8GB-Videokaart €215 with 2 games and free shipping. Also found the rx580 for €190. tell me if i should try and find it again as background, my current parts list: https://be.pcpartpicker.com/list/jQPtTB
