  1. For additional reference: My system runs Far Cry 5 on ultra quite well apart from a few stutters when driving fast which i think my HDD is responsible for. EDIT: just adding something else here to not spam the thread even more. I've also done 3dmark testing with both my old i5 4570 and the new i7 4770s With i5: Graphics score 7600 Cpu score 2976 With i7: Graphics score 7624 Cpu score ~3600
  2. Only if the new update contains optimizations for a new game that just came out and i'm going to play it. But yeah i still use it to install my driver for the first time when i reinstall windows.
  3. When i was testing it with BF1 i was using the exact settings hes using. 110% resolution etc. Might it just happen so that my 1080 is being bottlenecked more than his 1070 and that's where the instability is coming from ?
  4. This is how it's supposed to run. He seems to be getting some stutters but that's nothing compared to what i get.
  5. Yes i used msi afterburner. I use 200% render scaling and it was showing 60-80% on the gpu (kinda weird since bf5 only uses about 30%) and the cpu was about the same 80 % with occasional jumps to 100% that i think make the game stutter. No such things happened in youtube videos with the same exact CPU. No noticeable improvements after reinstalling windows. Also tried running bf5 with frame limiter at 144fps and i was getting about 90 on ultra settings but the occasional stuttering was still there and it didn't seem smooth at times even when it was showing 60+fps.
  6. I've just reinstalled windows. Waiting for some games to download. Then ill post if there are any improvements.
  7. Hello guys, Here are my specs: Geforce gtx 1080 gigabyte oc Intel i7-4770s YES it's an S Asus B85M-E mobo 16.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 799MHz ( I believe it should be 1600MHz in dual-channel) 1TB Toshiba hdd 7200rpm I run games in 1080p at 60 fps since i only have a tv that is 1080p 60hz(no big latency issues, gaming mode etc.) The problem i have encountered is that when playing Battlefield 1 for example i get the desired 60fps but it doesn't seem like it's 60 fps. It looks like it's micro stuttering or something. And i Overwatch i run it at 70 fps and it seems more like 50 fps too me at all times whereas in battlefield it is not constant. Tried experimenting with v-sync but it does not help with the whole situation other than removing the screen tearing. Any ideas? Is the mobo just too weak for my CPU and GPU? I've been running a gtx 750ti with an i5-4570 before and it ran of course worse for BF1 but no such issues in Overwatch were present (the whole 70fps more like 50 deal).
  8. I am not sure. Does not look or smell bad. I'll have to wait till the morning to go to some PC repair shop maybe they can check it out. Any other ideas besides the CPU being bad?
  9. Hello! I'm having a problem with my b85m-e motherboard not posting with my i7 4790. Have tried everything there is to try in all the forums i could find with no luck. It does post with my i5 4570 and i am wondering if you guys might know anything about that. I have the latest BIOS revision available, 16gm ddr3 ram, 600w CM PSU. Trying without any GPU atm but it didn't work with my 1080 neither. I hope you respond because i'm out of ideas. Sorry for my bad english.
