  1. Yeah maybe if i could get a recommendation for the pricerange for now it will at least give me an idea of how much i should be kinda spending for everything, i can pick stuff out all day on pc part picker but I dont know what I need vs what would be just a plus especially when it comes to ram speed, motherboards and even the amount of VRAM i need. I always end up just going all out and having builds that are too expensive for my budget.
  2. Hello all, I am a video editor/Gamer, and I am trying to plan a build for Spring 2019 (basically whenever i get my tax return). So I am hoping that some of the advice to get will possibly include things that maybe coming out in early 2019 (Been thinking long and hard about AMD and their new Processor Series). 1. Budget & Location I am in the US Specifically in SoCal, my budget is lookin to be about 1500ish on the low end or 2000 if its something that would really solidify future proofing. I also have no problem buying used if need be. 2. Aim I think the majority of this build will be Video editing with a strong use of Gaming :D. Video work would include 4k footage, multi-cam 4k sequences, light after effects work; As far as the gaming side of things I would like to be able to take advantage of a 144mhz or 240mhz monitor, Graphics detail are kinda whatever to me as I mainly play fortnite and other FPS/TPS/BR Games, but do enjoy a nice cinematic game every once and awhile with good graphics (Farcry, BF5, ect.) 3. Monitors Would like to be able to run Dual Monitors at 1440p -- either 144/240mhz with the possibility to upgrading to 4k monitor at a later date or using one as the non gaming monitor for video editing and web browsing. -- also leave monitors out of budget but would like to get any reccomendations for decent monitors in the 200-400$ range if possible. 4. Peripherals I do need keyboards and a gaming mouse as well as Windows operating system but id like to leave it out of the budget as i have mice/keyboards that would work in the midterm until i found something i wanted, Might need the ability to use Mac based hard drives but i think thats just a software issue more than anything else. 5. Why are you upgrading? Upgrading for peace of mind for possible future freelance work, Currently have a job that uses mac based computers for editing, but if I ever leave or get let go from the job I only have a 2008 Macbook Pro to fall back on which barley cuts 1080P footage. I also have a PC currently but it was built in 2008 with a 700$ budget. So i am not sure if theres anything to salvage there..... (possibly future streaming computer with upgrades????) added pics of old build just incase anything is salvageable. Thanks for any advice in advance!
