  1. Ah and since i'm planning on watercooling my GPU, I was wondering if this ( https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B073GWFBQ4/ref=ox_sc_act_title_6?smid=A3DWYIK6Y9EEQB&psc=1 ) fits on my Asus Strix 1080ti ? Thank You
  2. Thanks everyone! I wasn't expecting so many advises. Although i'm an IT, I didn't expect to encounter these kind of problems. Though I should say that I am pretty new to water cooling. I must admit, I didn't think of the tooth brush and I'm pretty sure it's going to work. Regarding the pump, I've never disassembled one nor a CPU block but I am pretty confident it will go well. As for the Rad, I Will try your tips so i can clean it back as much as I can. And for the record, I am not buying a new rad. it is not done yet even if it needs a bit of love. While I am here, would any of you know a transparent liguid that would be good in my case? Thanks again, SergentRoux
  3. Well, nobody told me it was crap. Didn't think a well known company would do such crap liquid. The thing is i'm stuck with that and I gotta clean it. I can't afford to buy those parts again. its gonna cost me too much. I'm not sure how to clean my cpu block and since the fins are so close together, I can't hand-clean them. i need a fluid that can. Maybe water will do but I don't know. The worst part is my rad. i cant get into it so i need something that will clean it up. Since buying is not an option is there like a liguid that i can use that will not damage my components but put out the residues? Someone surely had to clean it at one point. There must be a solution.
  4. But wouldn't this wear out the metal in my CPU or rad? Isn't that too strong ? I'm a bit afraid it would cause some sort of damage unless you tell me that you tried it and it went well...
  5. Is it the 3D part that causes problem with the other one? Also, I see that it caps at 120Hz but not 144. I guess i can live with that though.
  6. Alright, So I bought the Pacific RL360 D5 from thermaltake, which is a water cooling kit. It contains the ''thermaltake C1000 red opaque coolant'' which some of you may know because it ruines water cooling loops. Unfortunatelly, It ruined my setup with a lot of residues. I managed to clean my reservoir in the sink just with water but i didn't bother with the piping since i'm going for Hard Tubing anyway. So here is my question: How the **** im i supposed to clean my CPU block, pump and most of all, my rad ?? Is there a good old grandma trick that i could use to clean that up ? Also, please skip the '' you never should have bought this liquid '' part. I get it. Ah yeah and i forgot; I also wrote to thermaltake to require assistance but they never answered. What a great customer service! * please excuse my english. I know its not perfect ( winky face )* Thank you, SergentRoux
  7. Sorry for the late response... But wouldn't that work ?? It isn't that pricy though https://www.amazon.ca/VisionTek-DisplayPort-DVI-D-Active-Adapter/dp/B00DYRQXMK/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?ie=UTF8&qid=1548216864&sr=8-1-spons&keywords=dual-link+dvi+to+displayport&psc=1
  8. Hello, So i have this problem that i have been trying to solve for a long time now. I have 2 Acer GN276HL and i would like to have them both at 144Hz. Both are connected to my asus strix GTX1080ti. Unfortunately, this card only has 1 DVI-D port so i can't connect both monitors with DVI. The thing is the monitor doesn't have any DisplayPort, so i have 1 monitor connected via DVI-D at 144hz and the second connected via HDMI but at 60hz. I have tried to connect it with an HDMI 2.0 cable but it still didn't work at 144hz. At this point, I assumed that this monitor does not support 144hz via HDMI. I have tried a DVI-D splitter and a DisplayPort to DVI-D adapter but both didn't work. So here is my question: Is there an adapter or HDMI cable that you know works at 144hz that could solve my problem? Thank you for your time, SergentRoux * please note that my english isn't perfect since i'm a french canadien *
